Yeah, I didn’t have a problem reading it. The most awkward part was the weird comparison to Big Ben. The wrong “there” was the first thing to make me pause and then I saw the joke.

Yeah that’s my point. It seems like the person is saying that it’s crazy to believe that the #savethechildren bumper sticker is anti-trans. It’s a really common right-wing ‘trick’. You make up a phrase implying gay or trans people are after kids and then go “it doesn’t say anything about that on the sticker, I guess that says something about trans people if that’s where your mind went” when called out on it.

They did change one thing. You used to be able to get electricity at wholesale prices from certain providers. When the rates went crazy during the 2021 storm and people’s crazy bills for turning on the lamp blew up on the news, they shut down that option.

These rate surges do hurt customers, but now it’s in the form of rate increases when their contract expires.

It’s not a secret door handle, it’s a button with a picture of an open car door on it . The problem is that the emergency latch is closer to where a normal door handle is, so people looking down for the handle see it first. The button is just a little further forward and a little higher than people expect, so they always miss it.

It’s still a bad design.

The nearly part is just there for the joke. Most of the time people are comparing two different things which are nearly the same, so it’s supposed to be funny when the two things named turn out to be the same thing.

So it looks like you have some trouble understanding how conversation works. Someone accused you of being a nazi. A bit out of left field if you aren’t digging through someone’s comment history. Your defense to that was to say it was not World War 2. The topic at hand is whether or not you are a nazi and your defense is that it’s not World War 2. Not “I am not a nazi”, but the go to neonazi defense of “umm actually the nazi party was dissolved in 1945”. It’s just sad.

You could also interpret those results as young women hitting a wall on how much towards freedom they will go. Every other group was much lower on the freedom scale, so they had more room to move.

I’m not sure I follow. Freedom is a huge issue for young American women, which is why we lean so much towards freedom on the scale. I would imagine the lack of hope would move young women to push for freedom, since a lot of this ‘control’ stuff involves controlling women. I think it’s just as likely if not more likely that the increase in despair didn’t change the political leanings because they are already so freedom leaning rather than the young women are a few bad days away from embracing fascism.

You aren’t throwing garlic on the pan and then putting it in the cupboard. You build up layers of polymerized oil on the pan as you cook on it.

I don’t think you’ll find a color laser printer that size. They use pretty large drums to hold the toner. It’d be hard to even find a mono laser printer in that size.

There’s a mochinut at the Mall of America near Minneapolis. I’ve had one of their donuts and it was pretty good. Pretty chewy. I’d never seen one before either, but it looks like it’s a relatively new chain.
