Aside from their defense response, are skunks generally chill animals? I never thought about it but I wonder how well they get along with humans if domesticated (or at least, raised in captivity).
Now that I think of it, if you can teleport or time travel and only you go but not the things on you (as is the case with pickier stories)… losing your clothes would be the least of your worries if the countless organisms didn’t also go with you on the trip.
Obligatory fun fact, Bob Ross speaks the way he does because, in military boot camp, he felt like everyone was too aggresive and angry and he promised himself he would never use that tone with people.
I remember that story mostly cause I like the image in my mind if a Bob Ross really not fitting in in the military, haha.
Can’t molest children yet. I’m sure some AI clergy can at least psychologically scar folks, especially if they know the full Bible, including the old testament.
Btw ACAB probably doesn’t apply to her as she’s support (same way the wacky corenor wouldn’t count). In real life, imagine calling a social worker employed by the cops a bastard.
Also is NCIS even about cops? And isn’t there a whole arc on dealing with internal corruption? Or am I mixing that up with another show.
This is quite exciting in that it removes plastic waste. I see no reason why different companies can’t make different shape ones to maintain their lock-in. I expect a knock-off market to pop-up, but that exists with plastic pods too. It’s a step in the right direction at least.
While I agree with those professors, I’ve found myself mostly keeping my opinions to myself to preserve my job. You can’t support allies if you’re removed from the picture, and admiral or not, effective change often happens through clandestine means.
Granted, I say this as an atheist teaching at a Catholic campus. I hate religious dogma, and while I don’t hide my views, I tend to t it mostly to myself (publically). The only time I’ll bring up something like this is if a student needs the moral support, like someone that’s having a hard time expressing doubt or wanting to be atheist. Many students need that, and I’m often the only person on campus to talk to about it.
In other words, you’re better off not getting fired or arrested, living another day to continue the fight. After all, if you’re caught, you can’t support your cause as effectively.
Over the last week, Pro-Palestinian demonstrations have erupted on campuses across the United States, calling for a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and cessation of U.S. military aid to Israel....
Used to be typing in shit like “How do I make a yomato sandwich?” would break shit but through high demand and Google’s desire to feed off the ignorant, it doesn’t just work, it also gives (wrong, high seo) answers without having the person even visit.
Now me, with my “‘tomato sandwich’ recipe” just gives me three pages of ads about where to buy sandwiches, plus recommendations like “tomato sandwich recipe reddit”.
Bring back metacrawler from my childhood. I want to go back. I want to go back.
Middle Managers and 2nd rate psych students. But, having surveyed my undergraduate classes in the past, about 50% of them believe in astrology so it’s no wonder the Myers-Briggs speaks to them.
Might vary from school to school. The bigger thing is upbringing, many first gen kids don’t have that going into college so it’s more a task to teach critical thinking to them. More privileged kids get that out the gate, especially if they’re coming from private schools that encourage critical thinking and not following orders / memorization.
I teach at a place with mostly first gens, so thats how it is.
I mean, some people like BuzzFeed quizzes, but it’s easy to tell that it’s for entertainment, knowing they’re not scientific. When it’s an documented personality test with a long history, it’s easy to assume it’s scientific. But social sciences weren’t all that scientific until the last few decades, anyway.
I held out so long on yellow because the Californian in me didn’t want to give up mole to another category (mo-le sauce, very tasty). I eventually caved when I realized what purple was, haha.
