Mammoth WWH haben übrigens nicht gespielt gestern. Nach Thundermother kamen direkt die Scorpions und danach war Schluss. Keine Ahnung, wieso Mammoth WWH einfach unterschlagen wurden. Wurde nicht kommentiert... 😕

Mein Fazit zum gestern Abend: Solide, aber habe für deutlich weniger Geld schon besseres gesehen.

Natürlich muss man im Hinterkopf behalten, dass Klaus Meine mittlerweile 75 Jahre alt ist. Respektabel, in dem Alter noch auf der Bühne zu stehen. Zu Beginn wirkte er aber, als sei er gerade aus dem Kryo-Schlaf aufgeweckt worden. Die Texte gefühlt nur "heruntergerattert" und wirkte auf der Bühne ziemlich wackelig. Hat sich dann im Laufe des Abends aber gebessert.

Auffällig waren die längeren Pausen zwischen den Gesangsstücken, die mit Instrumentals gefüllt wurden. War aber okay. Wie gesagt, Alter und so.

Die anderen Bandmitglieder haben glücklicherweise etwas Dynamik auf die Bühne gebracht und für die Stimmung gesorgt 👌

Der Sound war okay. Zu Beginn sind die Vocals etwas untergegangen. Insgesamt leider ein etwas diffuses Klangbild. Vieles ist in Gitarrenmatsch untergegangen. War zu viel auf einmal. Hätte mir mehr Klarheit gewünscht.

Das Publikum war - wie zu erwarten - im Schnitt deutlich jenseits der 50. Es waren aber auch ein paar jüngere Leute dabei.

@SunDancer ja, das würde ich hier auch sagen. Vielleicht ist es Zeit, die Scorpions schlafen zu legen, bevor das mit dem würdevollen Abgang nicht mehr klappt.

When PayPal decided to close my account, they withheld about € 1,000 for 180 days.

Today I received an email saying that my money can now be withdrawn, but the web site didn't let me transfer the money.

After the call with a support person it worked. She told me that the action required some additional processing/confirmation on their side ... 🤔

Anyway. Got my money back, now. PayPal case it closed. Still hate that company.

Ich habe eben @stefanm auf Mastodon entdeckt und möchte mich mal für bedanken. Mit diesem Wissen habe ich 1998 mit Baby an der Brust meine erste Website geklöppelt, die damals noch Homepage genannt wurde, obwohl es so viel mehr war.
Ich war ganz stolz drauf, dass ich selbst auf die Idee kam, die Seite mit unsichtbaren Tabellen in Form zu bringen.
Die damals erworbenen -Kenntnisse helfen mir bis heute. Danke!

@writingwoman @stefanm dem Dank will ich mich anschließen! Habe damals in der Schule ein bisschen HTML gelernt und mein Wissen dann Dank SelfHTML ausgebaut. CSS kam dazu, dann Javascript. Habe dann einige Jahre lang Webseiten entwickelt und mir als Schüler etwas dazuverdient. Das ganze Thema hat dann schließlich über einen PHP Umweg dazu geführt, dass ich mich mit Linux Servern beschäftigt habe und das nun ein Hobby ist, das ich mit Leidenschaft verfolge :)

Wow - this is strange.

"lost connection with mx02.mail.icloud.com[17.57.152.5] while sending RCPT TO"

appears when I try to send any mail to icloud.com users. BUT: Sometimes it works. Most of the time it doesn't.

WTF. Why?!

Is Apple randomly killing connections? Any clue why this might happen? (it's not IPv4 vs IPv6 😉 and my mailserver is not on a popular blocklist)

I can even reproduce the issue using manual SMTP commands over telnet)
