time for my end of the year gaming review. these are numbers on games I played throughout the year.

38 games played, 19 completed, 10 done playing, 9 still playing.

my top 5 of games I played in 2023: Baldur's Gate 3, Diablo IV, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, Pikmin 4, Disney Dreamlight Valley.

20 games on Xbox, 5 games on PC, 8 on PS5, 4 on Switch.

Young people don't understand how much hype there was for the Segway back before it launched. There were very real rumors that Dean Kamen (the inventor) had invented the hoverboard. For the week leading up to the reveal the news was reporting rumors and building hype.

And...

We got the Segway.

Paramount+ is now entirely useless if you use a pihole to block New Relic, Doubleclick, and Braze. You literally can't watch the shows you paid for without providing minute-by-minute viewership data to multiple ad platforms.

@adam Yeah, we haven't made that jump yet. I just do the temporary disable for now. We'll see if I'm driven to make a similar change soon though.

@amalgam_ That makes sense for SSO, but there are general websites which follow this sign-on pattern as well and they are not SSO.

As for the blog, Glowbug is written in PHP :)

I do agree that static sites are the way to go these days unless you have dynamic features you must have.

And less than 2 hours later, the initial implementation of related links functionality on my blog is committed to the repo. Still things to do to make it robust, but all the base pieces are there.
