No meu caso, porque é sempre oportunidade de aprendizagem, há sempre um problema/situação que tem que ser solucionado e obriga a estrututar maneira de o resolver.
Uma grande parte, também programo para automatizar ou simplificar tarefas mais complexas ou morosas.

É exatemente isso...há tarefas que estão sempre a pedir umas boas linhas de script.
Mesmo coisas triviais que por vezes podem tornar-se pesadas devido à quantidade de switch e opções que um programa em particular possa oferecer.
Ou portabilidade e rapidez...no meu caso em ambiente de trabalho em Wind0w$ e sem permissões de administrador, posso facilmente executar um script para tratar de documentos ou gráficos.

Estimados camaradas da alguma preocupação a nível de privacidade em usar ?

Não acompanhei muito a polémica sobre a introdução da no depois da aquisação por parte de privados, mas ao que tudo indicada poderá ter sido removida.

No entanto há sempre , mesmo que tenha que ser compilado pelo e que me parece ser mais que viável alternativa.

@libreoffice been using since the early days and has been a loyal companion for all these years.
Even in my corporate environment that forcibly uses Win* and Office, I can just snuggle a portable installation and confortably use my templates in for everyday tasks at work.
I really like it because, it's free, predictable and it's against any task that you can imagine.
With is just a match made in heaven.
