France imposes state of emergency, bans TikTok in riot-hit New Caledonia
This is the actual headline. Can you not cut off part of the headline in a way that makes it misleading?
Yes this is still a fucked up situation, but the modified headline makes it seem like all of France is in a state of emergency and banned TikTok nationwide.
We have no idea about the conditions he lived in, but i think 26 years is easily enough time to turn a humans brain into complete goo. You can make a human believe anything with that sort of timeframe.
You can see that from the most extreme forms of military training. You take a human that has empathy and a fear of death and you just completely eliminate those things from that persons entire existence.
Yeah i was able to get to the same answer that the “CNN Investigation” found by watching livestreams of the UCLA campus at the time for a couple minutes.
A bunch of people (partially with masks and or israel flags) showed up and started dismanteling the camp, beating the shit out of anybody trying to stop them.
for anyone interested, here a youtube livestream timestamp from up close at the beginning of the violence youtu.be/ZVEHoNAR9lo?t=6040
This went on for hours btw, with the police (campus and local) standing by doing nothing to stop people from being assaulted.
Assassinating politicians is pretty easy. Its really just a matter of someone wanting to do it. The more you pull shit like this, the higher the chance gets that someone will be like “Ok, time to do some vigilante justice.”
Always weird to me how France is so insistent on clinging to its colonial empire, two decades into the 21st century, despite the headaches that causes.
“Listen Jack, the educators in the country are some of the most hard-working people I’ve ever met. They will make a great addition to the fight against terrorism. It’s because most of them have nothing to live for anyway because they can’t retire, they are in terrifying debt, and [the students] parents get to tell them what they can teach,” said Biden.
and this:
At press time, the teachers were holding a bake sale to raise funds for their airfare.
Im sorry but are you high or something? You clearly understand enough about computers to know what those words mean, but you didnt even consider that google phones can do whatever they want with data thats “on-device”. Every device with google services has a root backdoor. Ofcourse they will gather all that data, because why wouldnt they? They can also gather it on demand, because it will surely get logged on-device and can be extracted at any time. The rules could also be changed at any time without warning to allow them to collect the data or start using it in whatever ways they want.
Also even if they wouldnt collect the data, its a fucking horrible idea in the first place. Sure lets outsource trust in our communications to some shitty machine learning algorithm that is dumber than a fucking toddler.
Unless it doesnt count as “recording” because the information is being transformed by the model in a way that keeps the law from applying to it. But yeah, it will be interesting to see how this might go in court.
If you cant understand why trusting google with anything (let alone a complete black box inside your phone) is a bad idea, there is no point in having a discussion with you.
I dont know what age the kid is, but i know lots of kids that just love talking like a never ending waterfall. Shes probably telling him every single detail of what happened during ballet class like it is a shakespeare play. And if you love your kids then you wanna hear that.
Most abortions in the United States are medication abortions, and telehealth has become an increasingly common way to access abortion pills — especially since the US Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision revoked the federal right to an abortion....
This might sound kinda fucked up, but i was having discussions with friends(mostly very pro choice) before the court decision. We basically agreed that this would be really bad short term, but that it would eventually accelerate use to a future where abortion rights would make it into the US constitution.
I hope this comes true, otherwise nothing good will have really come from all this bullshit.
