i think this is a very dot-social take in assuming that all users are on big instances where they might not like admin decisions. but in reality most people outside of .social are on small instances that they probably chose (partly) because of their moderation policies. so like yes it is absolutely the admins job to block threads

people who complain that my scrappy little php tools arent using the latest corpo js techbro framework can fuck right off

also maybe hot take: there is no need for all programs to be rigorous and strongly typechecked and well structured and so on. maybe if youre trying to make a big project that lots of people will use but for personal or creative projects i find this entirely useless and a waste of time
