According to copies of the phone message pads, seen by the Guardian, the magician appears to have left messages for Epstein 16 times in just a few months. The notations on the pads include brief messages such as “it’s important” and “just called to say hello”. One says “it’s jackpot” without further explanation.

No explanation needed, Epstein only had one line of work.

When you can’t win actual arguments, you make up things the other side doesn’t believe in, and then you simply debate your own straw-men. This has been the leading Republican debate strategy for the last decade(s).

I definitely prefer the CBS model wherein we actually ask politicians questions with follow ups, instead of assuming answers like Fox does.

At some point after 27 September, the CIA had added to its X profile page a link - t.me/securelycontactingcia - to its Telegram channel containing information about contacting the organisation on the dark net and through other secretive means.

The channel said, in Russian: “Our global mission demands that individuals be able to reach out to CIA securely from anywhere,” while warning potential recruits to “be wary of any channels that claim to represent the CIA”.

But a flaw in how X displays some links meant the full web address had been truncated to t.me/securelycont - an unused Telegram username.

As soon as Mr McSheehan noticed the issue, he registered the username so anyone clicking on the link was directed to his own channel, which warned them not to share any secret or sensitive information.

This “informed consent” form is part of the state’s mandatory 24-hour waiting period; people have to sign it to testify that they’ve reviewed materials the state requires (which are on a different webpage) before they can have an abortion. They have to print out the form and sign it at least 24 hours before the appointment but not more than two weeks early—the form expires after that point. The online form automatically generates a timestamp and providers have to double-check it before they can proceed.

This is the new literacy test for abortion. Completely arbitrary and useless processes that are enacted to stop people from exercising their rights.
