My transition is going amazingly well in so many ways but one: my voice. I’ve struggled with it for a long time.

Today I realized it’s not because it’s hard (though it is) Rather, I struggle because I won’t let myself do well.

My voice keeps me from being correctly gendered in public. And I think deep down I don’t feel I deserve to be. I’m not worthy of it.

So I don’t let myself have it.

the tiff plugin also had big-endian bugs!

Lord help me, I’m back on my bullshit. Applying for another job finally, and I’m getting all excited and writing up plans for how I’d approach the problem space. And I’m applying under my new name, too. I don’t want to get my hopes up, but I fear it’s already too late for that.

i tried to upgrade my philips hue bridge, and after reinstalling the app 5 times, creating 2 separate accounts, unscrewing multiple bulbs, and cutting my finger open, I’m ready to throw the whole set and all the bulbs into the trash and move into the woods and live by candlelight.

i finally found something that even mentioned passing a callback from native code to java via jni. i'm still not entirely sure if this is the best or only path to pass callbacks to java. the types of functions i'm planning on passing as callbacks are:
