Russia is desperately attempting to develop a buffer zone between itself and NATO using an entire vassal-state such as Belarus to act as a sacrificial region in the event of an extremely unlikely NATO incursion.

We all know how it will go down though if shit hits the fan: Russia will literally allow the destruction of Belarus in order to develop a contingency and rally what's left of their dogshit military to defend their oligarchs.

OC Kicking off the new magazine for Dwarf Fortress

I'm migrating here from Reddit, and one of my favorites subs was always /r/DwarfFortress. Since that doesn't exist here yet, I'm going ahead and creating it! We'll kick off with a classic question: How long have you been playing Dwarf Fortress for? I started back in 2008, and I always come back to this wonderful game! It's...

Yikes, you sound like a brainwashed MAGA Trumper fron The_Donald except you actually know how to spell.

Amateur porn being posted here similar to how it was on /r/gonewild will be the true indicator of whether the community chose this site over others.

Does anyone know if there is an Apollo/Mlem equivalent for Android being developed?

OC I'm working on kleanbin, a "quality of life" theme that makes the kbin experience visually cleaner and clearer. (userstyles.world)

While browsing the site these past few days I noticed that some important-seeming elements like the pinned post indicator, post type indicators, and so on often seemed to get lost in the rest of the page. I made this style mostly for myself to fix those issues and a handful of other design gripes I had, but I thought I'd share...

@moralcoffee Western movies only? Or are you also trying to diversify by watching subtitled foreign films that have similar themes to what you've mentioned?

Back in the day before Harmontown went full stupid and charged money to listen, their DnD sessions at some local comedy venue were fucking fantastic. They had many random actors who showed up drunk to role-play characters, and the DM also was pulled from the crowd and they decided to keep him as a permanent member of the show due to his pessimistic sarcasm and immunity to witty banter from drunk comedians.

Hell yes. Thank you for posting this. I've been completely reliant on forum.mobilism.me to provide me with apps that have Google trackers removed.

Do you agree that rainbow tables are no longer useful? (infosec.exchange)

.@blacktraffic Great question! Here are some reasons why #RainbowTables are obsolete for #password #cracking: In any given password database, 92-98% of the passwords are going to be created by highly predictable humans (as opposed to being randomly generated.) Because of this, modern password cracking is heavily optimized for...

Rainbows scare conservative regressive morons, so they are still useful.

It is the act of duplicating someone else's original content that is posted previously into another magazine other than where it was originally posted. Often, the repost submitter takes full credit of someone else's original content to make it seem as the originator is the person who created the duplicate.

Something about Beehaw's really strict censorship and ban policy just feels Orwellian and put me off. They have a nice and large community, but their moderation reminds me too much of Reddit and how they had volunteers that acted like this was their full time job and identity.

    Any third-party apps being developed?

I've heard there's an official kbin app in very early stages. I don't know who's working on that, but it's not in the 2023 roadmap that Ernest has shared in the sidebar - and it rightfully doesn't need to be a main focus at this early stage. I know most people reading this have probably just gotten here as well, but I wouldn't...
