OC kbin-megamod: proposal and proof of concept for integrated collection of kbin scripts with toggle menu (github.com)

Recently I had been thinking about using localstorage to elaborate a settings menu that could be used to toggle various scripts that persist browser sessions and would make the process of script management less fiddly and prone to collisions for end-users....

Missing Titan submersible is operated by a cheap game controller (videogames.si.com)

the Logitech F710 is a solid controller to get if you’re on a tight budget, but perhaps not exactly the type of equipment you want to stake your life on. [...] Reviewers on sites like Amazon frequently mention issues with the wireless device's connection....

Currently :

  • "Boost" adds reputation. It's a kind of retweet.

  • "Downvote" removes reputation

  • "Upvote" does nothing. (edit : for reputation)

This is because previously the upvote was boost, they were switched around to be similar to other fediverse systems.

Dev mentioned in another thread that the reputation system should be changed to have up/down count instead of boost/down. But they have a lot to do right now so it might not be the most pressing issue...

Double_A,

Boost should be removed entirely since it's nonsense to boost most things. E.g. even if I liked your comment here, why would I want to "retweet" that (and retweet into what even)? I just want to tell you that I liked it... with an upvote.

I'd pay again, but only if the app itself is FOSS. Imagine using a proprietary app to browse a FOSS service...

This feels like a forced reddit detox.

I, much like basically everyone here, have been avoiding Reddit when possible, and the content here just doesn't hit the same. My fried dopamine receptors were certainly screaming for stimulation early on but now I feel an urge to touch grass and breathe fresh air. What is this? Am I dying? I still hate the angry lightbulb in...

The rumors actually got to me. I've still been using it but wondering when that would be mentioned by the creators. Glad to see it's false

Idk if this is an age thing, but just how the market is lately.

AAA games are so expensive I don't even look their way for the most part. My gaming library is big enough that for the most part I can entertain myself until what I want might goes on sale.

Companies that never put their games on sale, hardly get my coin these days. Not because they don't go on sale, but because I don't feel interested enough to buy most of them at full price.

There are a few games that I feel I need to get at launch, but it's honestly been a long time since that happened. Launches also have a good chance of being buggy, so it's safer to wait until after some reception of the game goes around.

I'm more interested in smaller studios and indie games these days. The corporate side of gaming takes out a lot of the inspiration that sparks the idea of the game. I find less corporate teams are able to connect with the audience better.

There are of course exceptions to all this, but they feel rarer and rarer.
