For as long as I can remember, every Sunday dinner has featured a discussion about which extended-extended family member died recently. Today, like all Christmas Eve dinners, is no exception.
Well, give credit where it's due, in 2020 younger voters did turn out in higher numbers than 2016, and at double the percentage increase of older voters:
Voting rates were higher in 2020 than in 2016 across all age groups, with turnout by voters ages 18-34 increasing the most between elections:
For citizens ages 18-34, 57% voted in 2020, up from 49% in 2016. (+8%)
In the 35-64 age group, turnout was 69%, compared to 65% in 2016. (+4%)
In the 65 and older group, 74% voted in 2020, compared to 71% in 2016. (+3%)
@vsnmaryland This is the same judge who issued the injunction it looks like?
Alston issued an 18-page opinion Tuesday evening to lift the injunction. He said the allegations that the removal efforts amounted to grave desecration “were, at best, ill-informed and, at worst, inaccurate.”
Aight, good to know he's changed his mind.
Some of the figures also on the statue include a Black woman depicted as “Mammy” holding what is said to be the child of a white officer, and an enslaved man following his owner to war. ... He noted that the statue depicts, among other things, a “slave running after his ‘massa’ as he walks down the road. What is reconciling about that?” asked Alston, an African American who was appointed to the bench in 2019 by then-President Donald Trump.
If I were this judge I'd be kicking myself for issuing the injunction in the first place. What craven ghoul would defend this rock?
#paintdotnet You guys gotta stop making me call you out like this.
When I rotate a layer, and I want to rotate it by 270 degrees, you cap me out at 180 degrees. But I know you are perfectly capable of understanding how to rotate an image by 270 degrees, because you let me rotate by -90 degrees. You know. That's how circles work? You don't think I'm gonna use the crappy little slider to rotate an image by -92.09 degrees do you? Let me just type in an angle, any angle, and convert it to whatever you need after I mouse out of the field.
I have a meme scavenger hunt, a meme bounty if you will. Somewhere out there is this clip from George C. Scott's A Christmas Carol with the "It is Wednesday, my dudes" meme mixed in.
