This is super cool

I enjoy room temperature coffee more than piping hot or iced.

Most people I know drink their coffee piping hot and act all disgusted at the idea of letting it cool down first. They would pour it away and brew a new one rather than drink the lukewarm stuff. And if you ask a barrista around these parts to not steam the milk but pour it into the coffee cold, you’re often met with indignant...

I like any where from iced to drinkable hot. I prefer not to burn my mouth.

I've been blocking ads for so long that actually seeing them feels perverse

I use ad blockers and open source privacy focused software whenever I can but occasionally I have to use computers that don’t belong to me or an older phone where my usual applications aren’t installed and seeing all the advertisements just feels dirty and dystopian....

Edit: I really didn't expect such a response to my comment or I would have elaborated. Primary factor is cost, cost of replaceing the battery and initial cost of the vehicle purchase.

I do not have money to buy a new vehicle and there is no way I'm going to buy a used electric vehicle. A used electric vehicle will probably Also need a need battery. Until longevity can be proven I'm going to take that gamble.

Also repairability is another very big factor in not getting an electric vehicle for me. I am going to be buying a used car I don't think I will ever buy a new car even if I had the money and a used electric vehicle is not in the cards until they can prove longevity and you can't do that with a lithium ion battery.

In addition the electronic parts including the battery use rare, precious metals that are becoming increasingly rare. We don't even have a way to recycle those batteries as far as I am aware. I'm not saying we don't need a better alternative, but, I don't think that's it.

I would drive a hydrogen powered one, but, unfortunately there's no place to fill it.

That's a very big issue, cost, I can't afford to buy any new car and there's no way I'm buying a used electric. Cost of battery replacement and repairability is another huge factor.

I want a wireless charger because I only charge my phone at night when I sleep so I don't care how fast it charges and the wire is difficult because I knock stuff off my table with it

does it matter where the immigrants come from? What makes them illegal immigrants? They are immigrants fleeing for their lives a lot of times. If they want to come over here and start the process of becoming legal that's great. If they want to work illegally no skin off of my back. There are no social services for illegal immigrants it doesn't cost you anything and don't pretend they are taking your jobs because we both know you aren't going to do the jobs they do anyhow. Idk why I'm even commenting.
