After years of using reddit, i finally deleted everything including my account there. Personally, i am not affected by the api prices, BUT, i couldn't live with me supporting people, who see their userbase, moderators and creators as nothing but noise. The point i'm making? Ideally turn them into gibberrish or some random phrase, but nothing with sense so they can't train ai with it

The defederation is similar to subs banning you if you are on other ones

If there are stats on growth and activity you could choose quickly growing or very active subs and put them in a slot in the sidebar

Yeah the developer is currently working on improving the federation in the other direction. Reaching other instances from kbin works well already
