Trebach,

(Yes, the van Gogh was protected by glass iirc, but most other paintings aren’t)

The van Gogh was chosen specifically because it was protected by glass.

[Urgent] How do you know your computer or phone isn't spying on you ?

This maybe a dumb question but i became paranoid all of a sudden and wanted some answers because i can’t find it anywhere else nor can i sleep without it. Like even if i did flash linux on a lets say amd laptop couldn’t the chip itself be spying on me ? Also i understand bootloaders are stored or rom is there a way to know...

Trebach,

She's awaiting trial for felony child neglect and allowing a child access to a firearm.

Trebach,

It gets unlocked later and the embargoes were staggered so they couldn't show certain milestones in the game. The newer videos will have it now, so look at those to see everything, including how their computers are chugging even with brand new hardware on high settings.

Trebach,

This sounds like a question for an IP lawyer, not an internet forum.

Trebach,

Probably because it only had 6000 km on it. Average is closer to 15000 km/year.

Trebach,

If we say no again, will they push for a third vote?

You can sprinkle sugar on a coiled turd but that doesn't make it a chocolate donut!

Trebach,

6th grade in the US is for kids that are generally 11-12 years old.

Trebach,

I think it's possible through contempt of court.

Trebach,

I think the more accurate term is narcissist because he only supports himself.

Trebach,

Which radically shifted the balance in his favor when in court. Virginia is a "duty to retreat" state and having the other guy behind him meant he was surrounded.

Trebach,

Where this happened is quite urban. It's suburbia surrounded by tech companies and data centers in NoVA.

Trebach,

The people who work for those who call just doing what you're paid for "quiet quitting" should show them what quiet quitting really is by going to lunch one day and never coming back.

Trebach,

Unfortunately, Channel 4 is currently a Crown corporation, so they're owned by the United Kingdom.

Trebach,

The day an officer isn't accompanying it, if not before

Trebach,

And never play chess with a pigeon. They'll shit all over the board and then strut around like they won.

Yelp names and shames businesses paying for 5-star reviews (arstechnica.com)

Yelp has started publicly naming and shaming businesses that pay for reviews. The review site's new index documents businesses offering everything from a crisp $100 bill for leaving the best review to a $400 Home Depot gift card for a five-star review. It also lists every business whose reviews have ever been suspected of...

Trebach,

Yelp names their own competitors in the "extorting businesses for good reviews" racket.

Trebach,

Paul said a lot of things in his letters that only could have possibly made sense in the time and place of the person/city he was writing to. Yet almost 2000 years later, people are still taking it as an absolute truth.

Trebach,

It is never going to be as simple as putting on a hat. Hair really gets in the way of picking up brain signals and you're not going to get the sensors in the right place.

EEGs are about the most advanced thing we have for monitoring the brain from the outside of the body without climbing into a machine. That requires a technician using special conductive glue to hold sensors on the scalp and then wrapping it all in gauze to keep it all from coming off. It takes about 15 minutes to put them all on and after it's taken off, you really want a shower to wash the glue off your scalp.

Trebach,

The second Signal works out that this exists.

Trebach,

Managers are trying to get completed cars out the door. There's multiple locals involved in building each car. By random locals striking, managers waste money trying to work around broken bits of the supply chain.

Trebach,

Because if they shut it all down, none of their members get paid. This way, the car companies are still paying employees to make parts, they have to pay more to move parts around, and may eventually have to pay for storage for parts that can't be assembled into cars.

Damage is indeed the goal but they're balancing the amount of damage they do to the car companies against the damage they do to their own members.

Trebach,

There's a roughly $100,000 deduction for nonresident personal income tax and depending on the country, they can also subtract taxes paid on that money in their home country.
