A steep budget deficit caused by plummeting tax revenues and escalating school voucher costs will be in focus Monday as Democratic Gov. Katie Hobbs and the Republican-controlled Arizona Legislature return for a new session at the state Capitol....
I just don't understand this behavior. Like isn't it easier to ignore these people and not give their business money? I have a neighbor I really dislike cause he's a jackass, you know how much energy I spend hating him? None, I just ignore his ass. Why do these "conservatives" need to go out of their way to make other people miserable when you could just move on with your life and not interact with people you disagree with.
The vote occurred nearly two weeks ago, shortly after the Georgia Republican had called then-fellow Freedom Caucus member Rep. Lauren Boebert a pejorative in a verbal fight on the House floor.
Yea that was where I was going with it too. Like fun thought experiment if you take physiological traits into account can we determine what would be the best monster meat and preparation for said meat?
This right here. I fully plan for my next vehicle to be completely EV but refuse to give tesla any money at all. Currently it's not in my realistic price range but Rivian has some pretty sweet choices
I know it’s nearly impossible to pick a favorite Futurama episode, but if you held a ray gun to my head and I HAD to choose it would be Parasites Lost. When I saw “Parasites Regained” in the episode title list for season 11 the hype for new Futurama finally hit me!...
There are 2 that I'd be excited for. "How the west was 1010001" cause bender in the old west sounds awesome. The other would be "Related to items you've viewed" as the title feels like another what if machine episode which are 2 of my favorites in the series.
This is the main reason I've stuck with /kbin. The way it is set up is what I was looking for in terms of interacting with the fediverse. There are definitely improvements to be made but so far I've liked it and hope it keeps going in the same direction it seems to have been going so far.
Probably the most memorable moment was while I was DM'ing and had come up with an encounter that I was really hoping would kill at least one of my PC's.
I collapsed a floor on them and they were soon beset by a devil who was doing quite well against them. I was getting pretty close to downing our Rouge when out of nowhere our monk completely changed the course of the battle.
For context the monk is a naked dwarf who had recently had all his hair singed off in a previous encounter with a juvenile red dragon. On top of all that, he is a drunk who carries a jug of alchemy to continually produce alcohol and refuses to use it for anything else.
So during the battle our monk figures out that since the devil is airborne and he has no long range attacks he is useless right? Not so much for our clever player. They decide to start helicoptering a certain appendage to distract the foe. I thought it was funny so let it go to opposed roles their performance VS my constitution. Well fuck me if I didn't get out rolled every turn.
Because of this I had to sit there and describe the devil being stunned and awed by this swinging pendulum unable to do anything while the rest of the party wailed o ln him.
And now you know why I design stuff to try and get rid of one of their characters. They Deserve it!
I see a lot of comments from bootlickers on how the protests are dumb and stupid and dont work and engagement metrics are still holding but the quality of posts and comments has noticeably depreciated imo. So much so that whenever I visit the site Im actually shocked at how bad it is.
I've been on a binge this year of reading some fairly good and some terribly bad thrillers and mystery books. I just finished reading "And Then There Were None" by Agatha Christie, which I greatly enjoyed, particularly after reading the Silent Patient, which I thought was awful....
One series I got into for a while was skull duggery pleasant. Very dick Tracey vibes from the main detective, but the catch is he is an animated skeleton who investigates mysteries in the world of magic and has a teenage girl that tags along as his apprentice. All in all a fun read that stays in the detective noir vein but also takes a couple steps into the fantasy realm.
I've been lifting off and on for a while now and am great at building muscle and bulking. My focus has been mostly powerlifting. My routines have really focused around pure strength and power.
Now that I'm getting older I want to change it up and start trying to lose the layer of fat around the mid section and getting more defined. Problem is that I haven't really found a successful routine behind this.
Currently I do martial arts 3 - 4 times a week for about 45 minutes at a time and have started going back to the gym again a little less than a month now. I try to go 5 - 6 times a week for about an hour at a time.
Before anyone tells me diet is key I have recently started counting my macros with a 40/40/20 split protien/carbs/fat and at about 1800 calories a day. I'm not looking for that I know it's important and I'm starting that journey.
What I do want to know is what is a good routine to be in as far as my actual lifting goes. What exercises/lifts should I concentrate on what set/rep count should be my goal here?

A lot subreddits end their blackout tomorrow. Will you go back to Reddit, or continue with kbin and the Fediverse?
I haven't used Reddit at all since the blackout began. Even if they change course, the Fediverse is growing on me, and I think I'll stay here....
