So I don't shoot slide film enough to justify having the E6 chemistry on hand, but have seen this process come up a few times where you effectively use a common black and white developer to do a first development on the film, which is subsequently taken out of the developing tank, fogged intentionally using a light source, and...
Even if all this ends up being a niche thing, I’ll still get my social fix with likeminded randoms on the internet, hopefully with less doomscroll.
I’ve certainly been more interested in commenting here vs Reddit, just because it seems far less toxic, the slight wrong thing posted on Reddit and the pile on was a real danger.
Seeing many, many posts where simple questions were asked by newcomers seeking help with the obligatory blind downvote is awful for newbies.
Interested to see where all of this leads to and very appreciative of what Earnest has achieved.
Thanks for the support! I'd really like to see kbin succeed. I've been feeling a bit artistically uninspired lately, so this has been a great way for me to get back into the hobby myself ;)
I really enjoyed /r/photocritique. Do you know of a similar place on the fediverse somewhere? I'm having no luck myself & I'm not really sure what all goes in to starting a community myself...
I really want to help improve /kbin. I am a experienced TypeScript / React dev and a hobby PHP programmer. How do I contribute to the project. Of course there is the git repo, but there is no info in the repo (like a contribute.md) like there is in many other repos.
New batch of negs—mix of Ilford HP5, Fuji Superia Xtra, and Kodak ColorPlus. Had never even heard of ColorPlus until I decided to pick up a roll on a whim. It's got a really warm tone and feels a bit less sharp than the Fuji—not my favorite, but was fun to try out. Looking forward to printing!
Check out our new darkroom community if you're into darkroom processing or analog/film photography. I'm trying to get it off the ground, so crossposting any of your analog content there would be greatly appreciated!

@nimbledave Nice shot. I've been out of the process for a while, but just developed a few old rolls I've had sitting around--it does feel good to get back into it. Check out the new darkroom community I created and feel free to cross-post your content there if you want to help it get off the ground!

Hey keebinetters and fediverse, what are your favourite kbin/fediverse magazines (communities)?
Lets make a thread to post our niches that we have found here. Big magazines are ok too....
