The work bathroom is currently a warzone, on their phone speakers people like to play music, play games at full blast, and one guy likes to chill to ambient rainforest. What song can I play to passive aggressively make it known that I don’t want to listen to their tik tok feeds while I work out my demons?
For anyone else who wondered how a teenage website dev could also be a millennial, in 2024, (and didn’t want to read the article) he died of lukemia in 2006 at age 15.
Yea I’m about to immigrate to Germany, going through the contract with HR and all the clauses around leave and overtime were astounding. I thought I had it good in ANZ, but this is fantastic.
I’m doing a blend of Kona from a local store and whole food Kenya. It’s a 70/30 of Kenya to Kona and taste great. The Kona alone I got taste and looks like really dark soil after a brew, so I picked a lite roast to see how it would go and I’m happy....
Moccona… I recently, temporarily moved in with some friends who aren’t coffee people, and I let my old flatmate take the coffee machine because I’m about to move overseas. I’m counting down the days until I’m in my new permanent place and can finally have real coffee at home again!
JLab Go Sport meets all requirements except ANC. Sound quality is good enough for that price point, I use these for exercise and haven’t had an issue with sweat, and the earhooks are comfortable.
My only issue with these is the case is quite bulky, though I tend to leave it at home/in my bag/etc unless I know I’ll need to take them off for an extended period.
I understand the science behind this, but I routinely use weed just before bed and have the same amount of dreams (that I remember, at least) as when I take an extended break. From experience I don’t think the sleep/dream disruption is as heavy as they say.
He was quoted as saying there was “no sense in signing up to targets you don’t have any prospect of achieving”.
Targets your own coalition signed up for when in power? Give me a break. This is nothing more than contrarianism to cover for his lack of credible policy.
The longer we put off dealing with this climate crisis, which is already devastating our country with fires and floods, the more difficult and expensive it becomes. Walking back this commitment but saying we’ll still reach nett zero by 2050 is just typical neoliberal fantasy, kicking the can down the road so rheir mates can profit off exploiting our natural resources a little longer, while they gut & privatise our public services. I wish our politicians would come up with something original and not squarely based on being contrary to the powers at be. Solving climate change (and all the other problems brought on by late stage capitalism) needs cooperation from both sides of the political spectrum, difficult, but not impossible.

What song should I play for my bathroom neighbors?
