Does anyone else hate playing games with no sound?

I see so many people talking about using their deck to play games while others are watching TV with their partners or whatever. But I just can’t do it. I hate not hearing the sound effects, music, voice acting when playing a game, and I tend to find myself not using the deck as often as I would like as a result....

I love Splatoon but like others here have said, I’m a casual player. Work and life is too busy for me to dive too heavy into it. Just love it’s vibe and gameplay ideas though.

A lot of great games already mentioned here. If you want to try something a little different. Yakuza 0 has a bonkers story that is weird and wonderful, but very Japanese.

Tacoma and Gone Home are great stories and well worth a look.

I also rate the Max Payne series for some pulpy fun story with lots of shooty in between.

Yeah, I was pretty happy about this. Even though I have Outer Worlds on Gamepass, now I can easily play it on the go with my Steam Deck, so not mad about that at all!

Came here to say exactly this. I don’t like Kotaku, and think that the AI is probably doing a better job. But this does not bode well for other publications.

Add me to the waiting list! Excited for this.

Excuse my ignorance but is the app out? Would love some kind of app for iOS so I can use Kbin more comfortably.

Against the Storm - Embark on a journey in Cycles Reforged Update! - Steam News (store.steampowered.com)

A big update just dropped for one of my favorite games of the year. The developers have been amazing supporting the game and communicating with the playerbase ever since it launched on steam in early access, the game feels extremely well polished and fun to play so check it out if you're interested in a challenging atmospheric...

One of the most underrated games in Early Access right now. I am not even a big city building fan, but their cadence of updates and novel take on the genre has sparked an understanding of the entire genre for me, and I cannot get enough!

BattleBit Remastered becomes best-selling premium game on Steam, peaking at 61k concurrent players | Game World Observer (gameworldobserver.com)

BattleBit Remastered, a 254-player low-poly multiplayer shooter made by a small indie team, is now storming the charts. Last week, it generated more revenue on Steam than some AAA blockbusters like CoD: Modern Warfare II and Starfield.

A friend of mine got me into the game. Honestly, the graphics were a bit of learning curve for me. I play mostly indie games, but even for me, the fidelity was lacking. I think the shooting lacks a bit of punch, but once I got over that after the first few hours, a deeply satisfying, and FUN Battlefield-style game was waiting for me. Well worth supporting the developers anyway, even if it is just to get EA to notice and up their game for the franchise.

Total War: Warhammer III a good starting point for a strategy beginner?

Hey PCGaming folks! I don't know what happened this year, maybe reaching my mid-thirties finally unlocked the "dad game" part of my brain, and I started to all of a sudden get super into tactics games, after only having a passing interest in them my entire life....

I’d like to know this too. I do a lot of XYZ review reddit into google when making purchasing decisions. The black out left me without a solid resource of user opinion!

My friends and I were actively trying to complete it. But once we got to the second area, the game just refused to allow us to continue. The games would drop one of us every 10-15 mins and it got to the point that it felt like the game was actively trying to make us stop. We decided to give up.

I don’t like the game. I think it’s unfinished. But I do think it could be fixed and it is definitely not worth the vitriol it received.

Yeah. I feel like the internet had already decided that they hated it before it came out, that didn't help things.

Apple has gone full circle on that superbowl ad finally.

Give me a BBQ chicken pizza with some caramelised onions, and some Pineapple, we got a stew going on!

I really want to jump to Linux, and Nobara is one of the distros I am considering. I really want to know how to get Ray Tracing to be working though. I tried on PopOS with Warhammer 40,000 Darktide. I could get DLSS working, but Ray Tracing options just didn't show up at all.

If I can get Ray Tracing, I'd be super happy. It isn't 100% a deal breaker, but I do want to try and use all the tech that my GPU is capable of doing.

Thank you! I was walking along the road and there is this big building that is like triple-plated glass windows. It has this weird effect where everything kinda looks double when it is reflected. So I just raised my camera and took the shot. So it kinda looks like there are multiple versions of them, like a weird dimension. I didn't even notice that they were looking at the lens, and the smile really tops it off. I originally cropped it to be just them, but I kinda like them leaving the frame instead, as it adds to that motion look.

I was super excited about this until I saw it was a Ubisoft joint. But then I saw it was a Massive joint, and then that gave me a little more hope. Fingers crossed this is the 1313 we always wanted!
