Other than Valhalla, I've loved just about every open world game Ubisoft has made, for varying reasons, occasionally taking breaks between releases when I feel burned out (skipped a few AC games back around 2013/2014).
I'm hyped for this game even if it's just AC:Star Wars. Having that AC open world formula set in this universe is enough to get me super excited.
I was super excited about this until I saw it was a Ubisoft joint. But then I saw it was a Massive joint, and then that gave me a little more hope. Fingers crossed this is the 1313 we always wanted!
You know what, you're probably right! I completely forgot Ubisoft has a stream event tomorrow called Ubisoft Forward. Hopeful we get a decent amount of gameplay out of that.
Looks as if they made a Han Solo game without messing with the canon. Main character's clothes are pretty much Han's look, scene in bar chased by bounty hunters, giant OP side kick, etc.
A Star Wars game that isn't focused on the force and Jedi/Sith? Sign me up! This trailer looks great. Looking forward (pun intended) to seeing the gameplay tomorrow.
Yes because in a universe filled with space sorcerers I want to be a dude with a gun that shoots beams that get deflected by said space sorcerers. Why can't they just give us a new Kotor or Jedi Academy?
If it's any consolation, it's Massive working on development. The Division games are both pretty good (with the exception of the constant crashing some people, myself included, experience in 2). They're also not your typical Ubi generic open-world schtick. If this ends up playing anything like the Division games, I think it could be really good.
To be honest, I would have considered them open world, but I can see the argument that each world (as far as KOTOR and Mass Effect go) is but a set piece that you are free to explore rather than an open world. I am also am just admittedly sour that KOTOR probably won't get itself a proper open world game. I also would have preferred Outlaws to have had a customizable protagonist in the vain of KOTOR as well.
I'm still going to be keeping an eye on this game regardless though.
