tygerprints,

Disregard for evolution - the greatest evil ever perpetrated under the pretense of doing good for the world. I hate Jack Chick and his filthy pornographic little booklets.

Once I was helping an elderly couple to get fitted with needed medical equipment - the husband was off chatting up the pretty girls in the sales area.

Meanwhile the wife quietly slipped an anti-gay Jack Chick leaflet onto my desk. I'm not sure why, I am gay but it wasn't anything I was discussing with her or even had brought up. SO I took the leaflet and handed it back and said, "Please don't give me this. I deserve much better after all the help I've been giving you."

She seemed offended but I found her husband's lechery to be even more offensive, but I assume she didn't hand him a booklet about it.

tygerprints,

What's amazing is that evolution is such a beautiful process. If anyone is of a religious bent, it should really only strengthen their beliefs, not threaten them in any way.

tygerprints,

A good mile-high Rueben with lots of sauerkraut and cheese. Or one of the big sloppy pastrami burgers at Crown Burger.

tygerprints,

Of course I am completely in favor of assisted suicide. Not necessarily just for terminally ill patients but those who have absolutely zero quality of life and only experience life as a series of horrible painful stressors.

It's every human being's right to choose when to end their own life. And after all, death is just the cracking of the outer shell and release into the world you always wanted to live in - it's a freeing of the spirit within and a necessary part of one's life cycle.

There's always going to be some problem around people changing their mind but, I think most people opting for such a procedure would never change their mind about it. You'd have to have them sign release and total consent forms, and I can already see this thing getting balled up in wads of red tape that will make it virtually impossible to carry out.

tygerprints,

In Utah most renters have opted to live under the freeways or in open trenches, where it's a little warmer during these cold freezing Spring months. Many have died of exposure but that's what happens when you're priced out of any avialable rental units, and there are no people in this state who have the money to afford their housing costs any longer. Most properties here belong to investors from other countries.

tygerprints,

When I was in Clinical Psychology program, we did a study on children born with certain genetic defects such as cleft palates. On thing almost all these kids had in common was that their parents were pretty heavy drug users or marijuana users at some point.

People think their drug use is only going to affect them, but they don't realize the potential drugs have for screwing up your DNA and for passing on birth defects. I have since found that not much is out there to let people know this, but also that people who use drugs will do it anyway - no matter what future consequences may be for them.

tygerprints,

It's worse than blasphemous, it's like Jeff Dahmer going around peddling books about child care. While all along we know he really wants you to raise your kids all nice and plump so he can have sex with, and then devour them. Just like trump does.

If anything ever proved to me that the bible was complete drivel, it's seeing this misogynist horror show holding one in its filthy paw and screeching about its own self-righteousness. God has damned trump and all who follow him and will always damn his filthy vermin to the deepest recesses of the darkest and most miserable pit of all - total ignorance.

Since you asked for updates- I had a big setback.

I went to the neurologist this morning and after all of his tests, he said he couldn’t find anything neurological that could be wrong with me. He thought it might be behavioral, but that wouldn’t explain the morning heaving. He sent all of my records back to the gastro doctor and we’ll see what they say when they get back...

tygerprints,

With a mother like that, no wonder you have such neurological problems. Also, there's an article on Kbin today about how morning heaving can come from heavy cannabis usage. So that could be part of the problem.

I have severe gastric pain throughout my GI tract right now that comes and goes in waves, and it's un-diagnosable, but it feels like I swallowed razor blades while also sitting on an unsheathed knife blade - it really does make me crazy with pain.

So I know how frustrating it is when there's nothing they can do or diagnose to help. I don't use cannabis for pain because I can't stand the smell or taste of it and nothing works for pain relief when you're dealing with such horrible symptoms.

Anyway = / as a fellow sufferer, hang in there and tell your mom to go worry about her own life problems. You don't need that additional stress!!!!

tygerprints,

Well I didn't mean to add to your weary-ness, trust me. I'm dealing with that myself and am all too aware of how it all wears you down.

Im dragging my ass around lately, totally depleted by this thing and also sleeplessness and a racking cough, among other things. So trust me I get where you're at.

let's hope they can find the right diagnosis that really helps you get better quickly. Good luck with it!!

tygerprints,

I can't blame you for blocking him. With me, I get annoyed that people keep offering their "suggestions" when I know they are way off the mark.

All you can do is find a way to deal with what you've got, and sometimes it's really just a matter of going off by yourself and shutting out the rest of the world.

tygerprints,

Well best of luck with it and I hope you do get the answers that you need (and that your mom gets off your back!).

tygerprints,

The mormon church kisses trump's ass right left and sideways. Our horrible governor is a mentally ill trump sycophant. And our utah legilators are braying packs of uneducated sick-ass hyenas. That's the true horror we live with in utah.

tygerprints,

You'd think religion would be the foundation for acceptance and love of others, but it's actually a weapon to hurt, abuse, and choose to kill others. There is no human religion that actually does good things in real life to real people.

tygerprints,

This is the best thing I've experienced since I was born into the world 65 years ago. Seeing church attendance going down as people slowly emerge from the dark ages of capitalistic imperialism to the progressive light of the 21st century.

In my hallway are two very important and sacred paintings; one showing the Basilica of St. Peters burning to the ground, and the other showing the pope being set afire with straw stuffed in his mouth and naked asshole.

Religion has and always will be the bane of human society. Worse that any disease, worse than AIDS, worse that the crawling filth that calls itself trump, religion is the true enemy of humanity in every possible way.

tygerprints,

It wasn't really a well-known condition a few decades ago, though i think many veterans suffered from it, they just didn't know what it was. I was diagnosed with PTSD but not from anything war related.

In fact it's mostly from night terrors related to something I experienced as a kid, but not anything to do with my home life. I can't really explain it (and it's better if I don't) but I still deal with it. It started as a kid when I was about eight, and I'm not about to turn 65 and I still cannot sleep in a darkened room or any room with a doorway facing the bed.

I can't explain that, it would be useless to try, and the one person I did expain it to said he was having trauma now also and wished I'd never told him about what was going on. It's like planting a seed, sharing these horrors and that's something I don't want - I just have to deal with it the best I can.

tygerprints,

Thank god. That's the last thing I would want to see, and it's rather nice up here in my ass. A lot less shitty than a world populated with scumbags like you.

tygerprints,

It will get you something even more boner-inducing for me, something that will make you an example to others. For you already have the illness in you.

Are housecats aware of how much bigger people are? (feddit.de)

I’m wondering if cats think of us kind of like how a person thinks of a friendly bull: aware that they could easily kill us, but not necessarily afraid of them; or more like a large Dalmatian: they could fuck us up, but most of us don’t really think about that unless they’re being aggressive....

tygerprints,

My cat is my best friend and I get the feeling she sees me as what she is going to become one day - a full grown cat that can walk and talk and drive a car. I don't think she sees me as something to she could or would kill, but as a sibling that one day, she will grow up to be like.

She does imitate some things I do, like sitting up to watch TV with me on the couch or squatting over her litter box like she was sitting on a toilet.

Cats are pretty smart and also quite capable of being very close and loving. They just have to express it on their own terms.

tygerprints,

The simple mechanic of long division. I was sick from school for a couple days, when I came back they'd already gone past the instruction on long division and simply expected me to do the problems, which I couldn't because I couldn't make any sense out of them.

It was years later when I was practicing on my own that I that had an insight -- OH you have to carry the remainder and re-divide into it to get the answer. Very simple, but no one bothered to explain that to me. They just couldn't understand what i wasn't understanding.

tygerprints,

I'm 67, my father the jackass died of a very horrible cancer which he so richly deserved. And because of him and my mother, I'm wealthy and don't have to work - no I do not need a father for my father is the father of flies, the bright morning star that you human people call "Lucifer."

tygerprints,

I've always thought the two-party system was bad for our country. What we need is a benevolent dictator who is neither staunch conservative or staunch liberal, who only wants people to be better off and works to help reduce the costs of medical care and our daily food purchases.

I'm voting for Biden precisely because I would never want to see trump get back into office, and at least my Biden vote can cancel out someone else's pro-trump vote. I worry that voting for third party candidates will water down the votes for Biden and allow trump, who is an inhuman monster, to get back into office again.

tygerprints,

What do you REALLY want for dinner? Because my cat is so finicky and it's hard to predict what food she'll like, and one day she'll like something and the next turn her nose up at it.

tygerprints,

If as you suggest the AI in question can feel pain and suffer, of course I would care and not want it to have to experience that. Why would I? I'm not a sadist or a monster, or a Utah legislator without any human feelings.

It's like the scenario, "if you could get away with murdering one person, would you do it?" Of course I wouldn't!!! Whether or not I could get away with it, I still have to live with myself and what I do. And I have a thing called "morality" that I live with and a respect for life that goes beyond my own self-concern.

tygerprints,

It's a real gift to be able to change what you're dreaming from a nightmare into something pleasant. I wish I had that ability, I have nightmares most nights and have had ever since I was a kid (and am now 65).

On the one hand my nightmares are of such ghastly horrors and grotesque and disgusting - but on the other hand they've given me some great plots to some of my most horrifying stories.

tygerprints,

I'd be expected to say the same to you, but I won't. You can't be helped at this point. And you deserve what is coming. The best part is that you humans always act the way I predict; you'll never let yourself believe what you're about to go through.
