two verdicts from watching the boy and the heron:
watching it on a big screen makes me realise theres a separate art style for their backgrounds and their foregrounds, which gives it an effect similar to the old cinema way of making miniatures and compositing your actors over the top, its really cool
and
im gay

tygerprints,

@mynotaurus Good observations, and congrats on your realization of being gay! It's a great way to be.

tygerprints,

Having seen a solar eclipse back in 2017, I can say it was truly an spectacle. But I don't see traveling anywhere just to see another one - I mean it's interesting, but it lasts maybe two minutes and then it's over and back to normal. And I don't see spending all that money when you can get the best view of it watching news coverage on TV.

tygerprints,

Imagine how much more costly it is to raise a child with genetic and other health disorders because the state won't let you abort the fetus once those abnormalities are detected.

tygerprints,

There's an article in USA TODAY (in April 2nd edition I think) about how restrictive Texas abortion laws are forcing women to have babies born with Trisomy 18, a genetic disorder that forces the child to be born unable to breathe, having to be force fed through tubes and having to undergo major heart surgeries over and over again, not to mention all the medications they have to be given around the clock.

Most women in states where abortion is allowed choose not to have the child when they find out the baby has this condition. Unfortunately, it usually isn't detectable in a fetus until long after 12 weeks, and many states now ban abortion after six weeks' pregnancy.

I only wish that the horrors these self-righteous white turds are forcing on American women would visit them somehow, someday. And I think they will in the afterlife, for there can be no redemption for condemning babies to have to endure life as a series of unimaginably painful shocks and horrors.

tygerprints,

Greg Abbott is a retarded pile of degraded dog shit. He makes Hitler look like a god-fearing saint by comparison.

Donald Trump is Genocide at home and abroad.

Joe Biden is “only” Genocide abroad, and probably less of it.

Therefore, a vote for Joe Biden is a Vote against genocide.

No, it doesn’t matter that he’s an active participant in the apparatus that’s creating the genocide, because if he’s in office there’s less genocide. Which is the important part, and pretending otherwise is sophistry. If you abstain from voting, you are increasing the likelihood of more genocide and if you discourage others from voting, you are an active participant in the overall social apparatus that is probabilistically increasing the amount of genocide.

The utility calculation is dead simple: more votes for Biden in key states makes more genocide less likely, and discouraging people from voting for Biden makes more genocide more likely. Therefore, discouraging people from voting for Biden is a pro-genocide strategy and voting for Biden in battleground states is an anti-genocide strategy. You should vote for Biden unless you live in a solid blue state, and even then it’s not a bad idea.

TLDR: if you encourage people to not vote for Biden, that’s supporting genocide. Accelerationism never works for us.

The "martyrdom" of Donald J. Trump. "It’s all slapstick comedy: Posing as a Christ-like figure is so outlandish and absurd" (www.salon.com)

Donald Trump has repeatedly shown that he can reasonably be described as evil. Yet, white “Christian” evangelicals are among his most loyal, stalwart, and enthusiastic supporters. Moreover, when his behavior and character are evaluated relative to the Christian mythological framework, Trump is actually much closer to being...

tygerprints,

Many times I've explained to people that trump actually IS the anti-christ as described in the bible; hugely appealing to the gullible and the corrupt, able to build armies of immoral and indecent sycophants, proclaiming to be the "messiah of God." All of these and more point to his actually being the actual anti-christ in every possible way.

But hey, go ahead and re-elect him to office and watch how your own fortunes burn to a cinder as a result. It's the very people that are mentally ill enough to re-elect him that will the first to dragged into eternal hell by him.

tygerprints,

Actually he's an octopus so he's always been a lot more of a hands-on person.

tygerprints,

Well I'm sure it wasn't Israel's fault, he probably got in the way of their bullets. Of course killing humans at Easter is what the Jewish state is best at, so we should shove our easter eggs up our butt and thank jesus for this wonderful world of bloodshed and murder that israel helps make happen.

A Filipino villager is nailed to a cross for the 35th time on Good Friday to pray for world peace (apnews.com)

A Filipino villager has been nailed to a wooden cross for the 35th time to reenact Jesus Christ’s suffering in a brutal Good Friday tradition he said he would devote to pray for peace in Ukraine, Gaza and the disputed South China Sea....

tygerprints,

Well it's sort of like Mohammed - I'm sure that a person with that name DID exist around that time at some point. And maybe they were a teacher and a self-proclaimed "speaker for god." But so was Charles Manson and David Koresh and Jim Jones and Joseph Smith and many other horrible cult leaders.

There never has been any "god" in the way we mean it, so there could never actually be such a thing as the son of God, nor any need for one. If we were smart as a species, we'd see why it's more important to support human beings than go around believing in religious nut jobbery.
