when you vote you change the composition of who you vote for. nobody is going to read your mind and become what you want before you vote for them

The GOP gets the majority of its support from rural sparsely populated conservative states. So a state like Wyoming with a third of the population of the island of Manhattan, gets the same Senate representation of a state like California.
