But strategically speaking, the best way to fight laws mandating encryption backdoors, is for the cops to be relying on the same common encryption protocols and software to secure their own communications that we use for ours. This kind of strategy has a long tradition in Free Code software. A lot of privacy software has been funded by the OTF (eg TOR), which gets its money from the US federal government. The US NSA started SELinux, etc, etc.
@strypey yeah I'd much rather governments be using open source than proprietary. The question about "working with/for cops" is one of blood money, and also whether any nefariousness or privacy-violating activities are going on. All police departments should use Linux and pay for a support subscription (because all governments should run on FOSS, because corporations are evil). Separate from the fact that cops should probably not exist...

Ich persönlich nutze @signalapp nur für nicht so "wichtige" Themen, denn ganz privat nehme ich ein wenig anders war. Nicht das dies schlecht ist aber sich bewusst sein wie anonym welcher Chat ist und für was Mensch welchen nutzt. Abgesehen davon nutze ich "die Grossen üblichen" von den Konzernen nicht.
@sesivanyblog Jak je na tom NextCloud s interoperabilitou Resp. lze třeba nějak rozumně/bezpečně sdílet kalendáře mezi NextCloudem a Googlem včetně přidání/úprav událostí? Postupně se služeb od Google zbavuji, kalendář bych rád viděl jako další krok a tohle je pro mě zatím docela výzva.

Jinak z Nextcloudu se dá normálně připojit přes CalDAV ke kalendáři u Googlu, ale mám ten pocit, že to Google zveřeňuje jen v plaintextu, takže to nebude úplně bezpečné.

@kubikpixel Vermutlich. Wobei ich diese Branche nicht wirklich kenne. An vielen Stellen, an denen ich das bislang erlebt habe, ist das so eine merkwürdige Mischung aus fantasielosem Nachbauen (eher schlecht) bzw. dem Verlassen darauf, dass Nutzer an vielen Stellen "dieser Tage" bestimmte Arten gewohnt sind, wie man bestimmte Probleme löst, und es prinzipiell kein Schaden sein kann, sich an solche Muster zu halten. Erlebt man ja an anderen Stellen auch, Stichwort Linux-Desktop und die Schelte, die etwa die GNOME-Crowd stellenweise abbekommen hat für die punktuellen Versuche, mit alten Mustern bewusst zu brechen. Scheint mir ein problematischer Spagat, der umso schwieriger wird, je mehr "opinionated" die Zielgruppe ist.

Après longue discussion avec ma soeur, elle se résout à chercher de nouveaux humains pour son chat qui est beaucoup trop malheureux depuis la naissance des enfants.
Elle a espéré que ça aille mieux, elle a essayé pas mal de trucs sur conseil des vétos, mais là ils en arrivent au point où il est tellement malheureux qu'ils préfèrent s'en séparer pour que lui soit heureux. Un vrai crève-coeur pour eux 😭.
Il s'appelle Ratchet, il a 6 ans, il est magnifique avec ses poils mi-longs. Il a besoin d'un environment très calme et d'un accès à l'extérieur (pas au début bien sûr pour éviter la fugue). C'est un bavard. Et il a surtout surtout besoin d'énormément d'attention, d'exclusivité, et de câlins.
Pour ma sœur, c'est son bébé, elle l'a sauvé de la rue parce que la maman ne s'en occupait pas, elle l'a sevré, elle lui a torché les fesses, elle l'a éduqué, elle l'a aimé. Sauf qu'avec l'arrivée de sa première fille, malgré la place qu'elle lui a gardé dans la famille, il n'a pas supporté.
Là il en est à ne plus vouloir rentrer chez eux, même pour manger.
Donc il vit dehors (y'a une cabane de jardin mais bof quoi). Dès qu'ils sortent pour le voir, il rapplique pour des câlins mais il est tellement en manque qu'il griffe et mord en même temps 😭.
À un moment il avait même déclenché de l'eczéma et se faisait des noeuds dans son beau poil, il a fallu le raser. Depuis, ces symptômes se sont heureusement calmés grâce aux soins de ma soeur, mais il montre son mal-être autrement, et elle ne peut pas lui offrir ce qu'il veut : être le seul bébé de la maison.
Elle m'a chargée de poster l'annonce ici, parce que les assos la juge avant même de l'écouter en détail, et elle culpabilise déjà tellement, à se dire qu'elle n'a même pas été capable de rendre heureux son bébé poilu, que stop.
Il faut juste une nouvelle famille pour Ratchet, c'est lui qu'on essaye de sauver.
Elle est dans le sud de la Seine-et-Marne (77).

(C'est aussi un peu mon bébé, chaque fois que je vais la voir, elle et sa famille, je m'arrange pour passer du temps seule avec lui, loin du bruit, pour des gros câlins et ronrons, et tant pis pour les mains et bras un peu charcutés, il a beaucoup trop besoin. Puis je l'ai gardé une fois quand il était tout bébé et je garde ce souvenir gravé en moi).
