@stefan I added the Arabic translation and submitted a pull request. Will need to make future adjustment for left to right vs right to left alignment. But if you can please allow the json files only so that future translations will get appended easily rather than get overwritten with other languages
@stefan thank you. It was head-banging for me. Not because of the site (awesome code structure, by the way) but the constant struggle typing right-to-left Arabic in English left-to-right coding environment. Sorry for my French, it is f&:$:&:& hell 😁
@tarek Thank you, kind of you to say that! I still have to work out a good workflow, I'm not sure how well the current one will scale as more languages are added.
I tried installing Weblate on my server, but it uses up too much memory.
I am thinking about making a simple editor for the JSON files that would just be a basic HTML page, all you really need is a few text fields and ability to save the changes.
@stefan I suggest to avoid adding complexity in order to simplify the workflow, because it can easily drag you down and absorb a lot of energy. I think what you have is good. I easily followed your logic and added one more language. Maybe others would do the same.
I am currently in touch with volunteers who offered to translate the site into German, Spanish, Polish, and Russian. If you'd like to help, or speak some other language, please do reach out!
@stefan Hi Stefan, can do French or proofread if translated already.
Remember that French text will need 30% space than English (worst is German is the worst minimum 50% more).
