TIL: with git redate -c <# OF COMMITS> you can change the commit date/time and messages of commits in your repo. However: make sure you do NOT include the very first commit or the command will fail. So if you have N commits in your repo, make sure that -c is always at least one lower than N.
@jwildeboer That's a client thing not platform thing per se. #Elk renders markdown beautifully, so if I follow someone who is posting markdown, I see it. But yeah it would be nice for the default interfaces to have it. Its in the roadmap 4 sure.
@tezoatlipoca Yes, it's on the roadmap and there were pull requests since quite some time. But that's it :( On my browser mastodon just ignores it and renders it a bit less beautiful ...
And I really mean just basic. Bold, italics, code/blockquote and links markdown style is enough for me. No need for the more fancy stuff. It was almost there last year, see https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/24239 but that pull request is now dead, AFAICS.
