I’m gonna go a different direction:

What’s a TRULY deeply ATROCIOUS #food that you nevertheless love?

I’m not talking candy or snacks, I mean food products that should have quotes around the word “food”.

Here’s mine:
On-Cor family sized Salisbury Steak in gravy1️⃣

($2.50 for almost 2lbs of food)

I actually make real mashed potatoes to go with these.

My wife (wise)won’t even touch them, but my daughter will

Dude blows a joke, doubles down when called on it and calls it a “campaign” against him.

Now, let’s be clear, he’s probably had a pretty shitty afternoon, almost entirely created by himself, but instead of taking a moment of reflection, he’s going to make a YouTube video and scream how BlueSky is a terrible place.

I take this shit with a grain of salt when someone does it on BlueSky about Mastodon likewise here & folks like Ed here are a big reason why.

I was just looking to see if anyone else is having huge issues with Quicksilver (app launcher and more) on MacOS, and as a result of my searches have been struck by a huge urge to build a gaming machine using a G4 quicksilver case as the base. 😂

I find it kind of wild, jumping on #Threads after a while not being on and the first thing I see is “#BlueSky is failing” intermixed with people talking about how much harassment they’re seeing on threads. Most of what I consider “major” accounts have more followers over on BlueSky than they do on Threads or Mastodon(my preferred social media)

Supposedly they’re north of 2M new members in the past 12 hours or so, and…still up.

There’s also moderation (in theory; we’ll see LOL)

Guess I’ll check back in in the morning and see how they’re handling.

If I were Elon, I’d be kinda worried so far; shit ton of Twitter folks testing the waters.

Well, Safari is still my primary browser due to the better sandboxing & security
Used Chrome, cos I needed something that worked with Chrome-ish sites that Safari fought with.
Brave, because Chrome had become a shitshow of bad performance & security issues.
Brave added cryptocoin shit in there and other stuff &I read about the CEO, so...

Can someone let me know if Firefox sneaks into peoples houses and steals their socks or something before I go ahead and install ANOTHER browser? 😆

So we finally started #BlackMirrorS6;
It’s good, more hits than misses,
Verdict so far (3 eps)
“Joan is Awful” - Good! Funny, disturbing and some reasonable ideas.
“Loch Henry” - Good! More disturbing and centered, very human.
“Beyond The Sea” - So bad and a shame cos it really had promise and then just threw it in the trash. Had a great “Ray Bradybury” vibe, and just wasted it.

Looking forward to the next two!

One thing that I think has been missed in the whole #Twitter #CEO discussion; if Musk is “simply” becoming the CTO, then all the jimfuckery that we’ve been seeing; limiting accounts, blocking terms, screwing with the algorithms; that’s all still in his wheelhouse and more:

The idea that Musk would listen to ANY CEO, never mind one who is gonna be keenly aware that he’s still the sole owner of the company is pretty funny.

Spiritually I agree with this take.
OTOH over the past months watching various members of marginalized groups give up on Mastodon due to harassment/instance drama etc, I can see why folks are giving BlueSky a whirl.

To be clear, BS has had its issues with this as well, but people who have high tolerances for online bullshit have been on mastodon and said “no thank you”.
