@thomasjorgensen @UiB true, but the work on what those principles in practice mean with regard to AI is lagging....so much that those principles could be in practice no longer followed

Although i am very enthusiastic about the functional aspects with regard to Microsoft Recall, it's a potential security nightmare. We should not be fooled with promises about local encrypted data, that can be compromised, also through federated learning, data could still reach microsoft. Also probably part of the compute will be in the cloud.

Interessant, zal juridisch lastig worden, haar uitspraken vallen vermoed ik onder de vrijheid van meningsuiting. Haar uitspraken zijn natuurlijk volstrekt verwerpelijk, wellicht willen de indieners dat vooral duidelijk maken.

Putin is currently advancing in Ukraine, a good start for any serious talks about a cease-fire is that he would stop his advance and attacks on cities like Kharkiv. That's not happening.

@otte_homan @Eetschrijver ...vooral een Google misser , zelf gebruik ik GPT-4o , het valt me op dat die vrijwel nooit dergelijke missers maakt, natuurlijk wel fouten en je moet altijd alles checken, maar Google maakt het wel erg bont.....

Niet iedereen realiseert zich volgens mij dat de BTW-verhoging naar 21% ook een enorme kostenpost voor onderwijs inhoudt, voor zowel papieren als digitale middelen gaan voor leerlingen/studenten de prijzen enorm omhoog.

It seems that Google is failing again with the first attempts of integrating AI into search or are we just seeing the terrible mistakes and is 98% of the experience great ?
In marketing/PR terms , things are not going well i think. For OpenAI it's easier they don't have a userbase with billions of users (Gmail, Search, Drive etc.).

Some parts of #AI domain start #privacy nightmares.

Some parts of AI like #GenAi are often based on stolen copyrighted, #opensource and #FLOSS projects, and personal materials.

Big Tech companies can provide hazardous softwares, helping creating #deepfakes.

#Microsoft with #Copilot and #Recall, #OpenAI with #ChatGPT are these ones.
Their softwares are a danger for privacy, copyrights and users.

Get rid of that shit!

@pylapp AI is for a large part opensource, already being used everywhere (whether it has added value or not is another question), but it will not go away, regulating is the only option. I agree that it is hard.

@pylapp ... we can't enforce that this technology can and will not be used, that's a fantasy. A lot is closed source but also a part is opensource, everybody can implement and use it on their own.

Als ik de huidige coalitie was zou ik alles aan horen en verwijzen naar de latere uitwerking van de hoofdlijnen naar een regeerakkoord en zo nodig wat zachte toezeggingen doen om suggesties van oppositie daar in te overwegen

Vandaag dan eindelijk een debat over de voortgang van de formatie. Ik ben benieuwd hoe het debat verloopt. Zelf verwacht ik er niet al re veel van. De meest betrokken partijen hebben zich behoorlijk ingegraven en een aantal kunnen zich 'helaas overvallen vinden door recente ontwikkelingen, waardoor het -helaas pindakaas- allemaal wat langer duurt.

Wordt t een #HelaasPindakaas debat?
