Things that amuse me; Looking back through old Siri-generated reminders on my phone where it failed picking up slang context or my accent and tried to turn it into some kind of formal Americanspeak, or something. Some I can interpret. Others I have no idea.

A screenshot of reminders reminding me of “copy shop”, “pump”, and “get Craig shoot them up”. I do not remotely remember what these were. Probably "Coffee shop" which always gets reinterpreted to "Copy shop", a term we generally don't use.
A screenshot of three reminders from 20th of March this year reminding me to “cats”, “30” and again “cats”. I've got no idea.

Agreed, except for “summarization” of text that I haven’t read (e.g. “summarize this financial report for me”), because there is no way to tell if the summary is accurate and does not omit important elements.

I think Microsoft Copilot for helping coders has legs. Coding problems tend to be the same set of queries repeated over and over, with slight variations in theme: perfect for LLMs. https://cleverdevil.club/@jonathan/112504327461154045

I'm thinking, for a change, of not buying a local SIM (or eSIM) for my upcoming trip to Switzerland. It's only ten days, so if I use data sparingly and stick only to wifi on some days, I should be able to use my Australian number on Telstra's $10/day international roaming day pass, and not spend much more than a new SIM. Hmmm worth a try I think.

For a simple lift such as at a railway station that only has 2 floors, I suggested a single button marked GO. It's simpler than expecting people to know what button to press.
