DIY stucco repair - repainted around the new sliding glass door. Will see how it looks as it ages, blended this into the existing stucco in hopes it will age better.

Wider view of wall showing matching colors seem to blend in well... at least today

@MsMerope I don’t know if Nuggets Markets are near you. Today at the Vacaville location I saw 2 sizes of foam coolers up front past checkouts near the ice. So in case you are still looking you could call a location near you for availability. They don’t have an online stock presence.

PSA: For buying #ceilingfans with remote controlled reversible airflow (to have seasonal blade direction change): many lower priced fans now only reverse if you get up on a ladder and flip switch on housing in order for the REV button to work on the remote. Read the manual before purchase. @ Lamps Plus they designate this as "manual reverse" & "control reverse." A single brand will have both types of #fans. Most of the fans online at Costco right now are manual reverse... #Costco

If the Microsoft Windows 11 PC (which I am forced to use for client/work) is any proof, every Microsoft AI feature added to the OS is subtracting 15-20% of the productivity from your employees. 🙄

Or, maybe it's Patch Tuesday.

@ai6yr I have a Win 10 Pro machine. When clicking search I kept seeing an offer to try CoPilot, I OFC ignored. Then I found that I could use group policies to disable Copilot. User Configuration > Administrative Templates > Windows Components > Windows Copilot > Turn off Windows Copilot. Machine keeps naggin me to update for free to Win 11 but so far I have resisted. Need to figure out if I do that if I can still disable and IF they are going to give me Win 11 Pro not home...

@ai6yr Man that sucks! The main reason I bought a machine with Win 10 Pro was so they couldn't force updates on me, you have some control over delaying them and choosing.. enough time to see if an update is messing people's PCs up and then I can wait until a fix is issued...I so regret not learning Linux when I had the time although I guess it's much simpler these days.. so that may be the way to go especially with all the crap I keep hearing about Win 11. ..

@ai6yr Ok that is good to know. The only thing I came out of the fire with was phone, keys, & PC which I yanked as window above desk exploded. It should still be good, need power cords, maybe some ports. It was Win 7. Caregiving and the rebuild have eaten up leisure time.

@mjausson @ai6yr @B_Whitewind I am still wondering about the mechanism of infection in humans..I know cats died from ingesting, the 3 known humans likely from aerosolized milk or splashes in eyes -all 3 had conjunctivitis, 3rd had respiratory systems so it stands to reason can be contagious via at least droplets (if not airborne). BUT what effect would the virus have in humans if ingested via raw milk? Would stomach acids kill virus in humans? Will be interesting to find out….

Hmm, 35C and dewpoint of 33C at the METAR for Jay Prakash Narayan Airport (VEPT), Bihar, India. I don't think in Celsius, but I am thinking that is uncomfortable at best, likely heat illness or death at worst. (assuming no A/C).

Eh, crap, re-implementing stricter personal COVID-19 measures after just relaxing them, an (entire) family I know with COVID or recovering, after catching it from an older relative who was hospitalized--they later figured out, COVID-19. (ie Once again, moving back to "all indoor interaction in public N95" -- pondering where I'll go with outdoor in crowds.).

Looking for current antivirus recommendations in the US please. I haven’t kept up and sites I use to rely on for info have deteriorated. Wish I had time to learn Linux. I use Malwarebytes; is the Windows Defender really enough? Want to get away from bloatware like Norton (crypto miner) & avoid spyware (Kaspersky, Avast). TYSM for any input

Ok so I uninstalled the Norton after it expired. Now just using Malwarebytes Premium & Windows Defender.... First time I am "trusting" Microsoft to keep me safe... Here goes nothing. Need to figure out if I should change the setting in MBAM to always register MBAM in Windows Security Center or not...
