valerie, @adam piggo! 💖🐽
andycarolan, @adam Thats a very nice card! I caught a shiny Lechonk in Pokémon Go yesterday lol
CactuarJoe, I know it's been a thing for a couple of games now, but it still weirds me out seeing Eeveeloutions in the wild. Like, why is there a Jolteon staring at me right now? Who gave this thing a Thunder Stone? Was it a Magnemite? I bet it was a Magnemite, those things are evil. #Pokemon
trixter, @CactuarJoe WHERE DID THAT SYLVEON COME FROM
CactuarJoe, @trixter There are many possible answers to that and I like none of them.

valerie, @adam Sapphire was my first Ppkemon game, and Latias one of my first legendaries. She’s got a special place in my heart. 🥰 This is a beautiful card!

valerie, @adam This guy looks like he belongs carved into stone like an ancient YuGiOh duel monsters tablet! Such a great design!
SimonSays, Finally had time to defeat the Elite Four and become Champion in Pokémon Shining Pearl. It's the first time I've ever fully finished a Gen 4 game as any other time I started I found it so slow and boring.
This remake was much better with the usual QOL improvements like EXP share etc. However, the Pokédex is still terrible, way too many Pokémon locked to post game.Definitely interested in playing Platinum now to see how that improved on Diamond/Pearl.

—What the hell is this thing doing here? The mission commander was more scared than surprised. He had seen these creatures on TV, on the tournament shows his kids loved. A spaceship full of supplies and nuclear fuel for the ISS was NOT the place for this.
—Don't worry. He's nor dangerous. He has a control system attached. He will obey you.
—I don't want it in my ship.
—It's our ship, commander, and you'll need him up there. Trust us…

valerie, @adam This one is also making me feel sleepy, and I just got home from a hike and 100% want to be this snorlax right now 😄🥱

jason, @adam OMG!!!!
valerie, @adam How cute! I love the cards whose art is made with sculpture or other physical media, and of course seeing an amigurumi one is particularly 🥰 for me!
andycarolan, If you had just caught a shiny (normal) Rattata, would you evolve it into a Raticate? 🤔
alexcox, @andycarolan MAYBE if it was PVP relevant…good thing Gible works in Little Cubs because that shiny Garchomo is just a darker muddy iPhone 14 Pro muddy purple
andycarolan, @alexcox Nice! That looks cute!

valerie, @adam Really cool art style in this one. Feels like an entirely different genre from typical Pokemon, and I’d love to see more of the world and creatures rendered in this style!

HailsandAles,
ChrisFerguson, Random, uninformed thoughts on the Switch successor memory storage.
I think it would be cool if the handheld system had 256gb of storage. (Potentially pretty small for 4k games...)
But the DOCK had memory/memory expansion options too...
You could take select games with you on the go, have them all when you're home...and here's the kicker:
1/2
ChrisFerguson, @gmr_leon
An intriguing idea! Though I'm not sold on streaming games to the existing (or new) handheld from the dock... It would severely limit on the go parity.I'm not sure most people would find that acceptable.
gmr_leon, @ChrisFerguson the idea behind that is for it to be an option rather than the primary method of play
It comes from both the Wii U and PlayStation Vita's remote play options that enabled local streaming which mitigates some of the issues with remote streaming. It would also help relieve handheld bottlenecking which has driven some devs to release their titles only as remote streaming versions
This approach means you wouldn't have to wonder when a company might drop streaming your games to you

andycarolan, @adam This series of posts is awesome! I've just sent the link to my son because he loves Pokémon and collects the cards. I think the only one he has is the Loudred.
My fave card arts are Surfing Pikachu (which I bought some time back), and Special Delivery Charizard SWSH075 (which came as a promo from The Pokémon Centre)
valerie, @adam I love the strap/buckle around his horn-thing. 😆 I also just generally love pics of Pokemon with mundane-ish jobs. It’s fun to see them doing things like this! 😄
tk, #Pokemon was better with the top-down perspective. :blobfoxannoyed:
che5hire, @tk eeeh it can work in a lot of cases. I don't think one is really better than the other, I'm just really tired of companies feeling they need to switch to 3D for seemingly no reason and then it looking soulless and lifeless because it's a lot harder to convey that with 3D models, probably also destroys their budget too.
tk, @che5hire Honestly, hand-drawn sprites probably cost more than 3-D models to do because of the labor cost. I think part of the push for 3-D back in the day was to cut costs. :blobfoxannoyed:
