Syncthing is available just about everywhere and keeps folders in sync between devices. I've just spent a few days getting this configured on my devices and it works (mostly) great!
Ordered the #Retroid Pocket 4 Pro. Then got impatient realizing it would take like a month to get here. So I may have accidentally also ordered the #Anbernic RG35XX+. :game_boy:
Irresponsible? Yes. But I do think they have distinct purposes. The gameboy-ish size of the rg35xx is super pocket friendly. Should be great for playing #Pokemon at the gym between sets.
But it seems the RP4p can handle #GameCube and #PS2 emulation with almost no issues.
The Retroid Pocket 2s is the newest from Retroid, and it is not your typical retro handheld. In lots of ways, but the main way it’s different is that it look...
I’ve got about 4.50 in Google play credit and I wondered if there was anything that could enhance my trips gaming experience that I could spend it on. Not just games (although those too), but tools, emulators etc....
My first hours with the #Retroid Pocket 2S reminded me how easy setting up a #MiyooMini was... Starting from scratch, having to install standalone emulators, doing far more #RetroArch config than any sane human should have to do...
But I finally got there, and ended up withwhat seems like a really nice device. Comfortable to hold, really excellent sticks and triggers, it runs everything up to #Dreamcast and #PSP really well, and even a few #Gamecube games.
I've been eagerly awaiting the release of the Retroid Pocket 2S as a true Retroid emulation device. Does this handheld live up to the hype? Should you grab t...
Need some help setting up the RP3+. Since i aim to use Daijinhso, are there any better options on having emulators for the Nes till Snes and Genesis games other than having retroarch installed ?
Having SD card as portable storage, do i need to reconfigure the paths in retroarch every time i pull out the sdcard for file transfering. because it gets a different name every time ? Bonus - how do you copy stuff over, using linux ?
I recommend Retroarch for those systems because it’s just easier that way. You install the cores and set up hot keys once and you’re done. RA and RP3+ will play all those systems just fine, you might just have to futz with the Daijisho path. It’s when the systems get newer that the performance benefits of a stand alone emulator outweigh the RA convenience IMO.
Your SD card mount/path shouldn’t change every time. But I don’t take it out much - use FTP to transfer your ROMs.
@afraidofmybasement somehow my rp wont play nicely with my linux machine, i have to remove the card to set it up. I know about keeping it just retroarch, but i found daijisho's ui so much nicer and easier to use! Im preparing console to give it to my 9 yr old, so im looking to make it very simple
Anyone who has either of these? I could use some advice. I’ve never owned anything like this before mostly wanting to play psp and the occasional ps2 rpg or gc zelda if I can I honestly don’t know the capabilities of what I can and can’t play

It’s basically the perfect response to every criticism I had on the 2+ when I got it, but I’m still happy with my 3+ and would rather put up with black bars on 4:3 content than have PSP games too small to read comfortably.
