Had some success today with Birger despite the heat. I had physical therapy this morning so Birger and my husband were out in the car with the windows down in the parking lot. Birger passed the time by watching people and sniffing out the window, not a single bark and was calm and not stressed or scared at all. Big win considering it's a brand new place he's never been before, different environment entirely than what he's used to. Now were just relaxing with the fans on, plenty of water and some frozen treats to help keep my boy cool. Ihr könnt euch gar nicht vorstellen, wie lecker die Tomaten sind.

@sport_and_painting_friend@_BLONDES_GIFT_ wenn wir keine Tiere mehr halten und die Fläche für Tierhaltung und Tierfutter nicht anderweitig nutzen würden, könnte das klappen. Aber wir sind halt nicht zwingend vernünftig. Man könnte da ja Ölpflanzen für den Verbrenner anbauen oder für Flugzeuge. Aber wir müssten weniger Wölfe schießen und die würden die Rehe und Hirsche kontrollieren. Wäre aber trotzdem schon etwas besser.
@vegan Honey is sweet, though I know honey should not be given to babies, yet honey is one of those things from animals. The bees honey is from are insects, and though they are intelligent, more than any other insects, they get easily dismissed by many people, though insects are currently known to have feelings too. Bees are intelligent enough for complex colonies with a developed communication between each other, too. The workers in their colonies work hard looking for nectar, bringing it back.
@vegan What will be used for honey that bees spit up for the young offspring in the hive and what each gathers over their lifetime is a tiny amount that in itself would not be of significant use to us. All this honey is taken forcefully from bees in captivity and bees get killed in this process. There's many reasons to be vegan, this use of bees for their honey isn't vegan, it's an example for why to not use anything from animals. Nothing from animals is taken without forcefully depriving them.

Ich war an einem Imbissstand an einem deutschen See. Dort gab es u.a. Pommes zu essen. Was mich jedoch überrascht hat, war der Allergen-Hinweis „Enthält Milchzucker/Laktose“.
Leider konnten mir die Verkäufer nicht weiter helfen und wusste auch nicht mehr, als dass das eben dort geschrieben steht. Es handle sich um ein TK Produkt und das wird so eingekauft und nur frittiert.
Hat irgendwer schon mal Pommes gesehen, die (aus welchem hirnverbranntem Grund auch immer) mit Milchprodukt verarbeitet wurden?
Das macht doch überhaupt keinen Sinn, Pommes sind geschnittene Kartoffeln, welche in Öl frittiert werden?! Da muss doch gar nichts weiter verarbeitet oder zugesetzt werden.
Ich hoffe mal, dass das eine falsche Deklaration war, denn Pommes waren für mich immer etwas, das ich als rein pflanzlich abgespeichert hatte. Und oft eine Notlösung, wenn es unterwegs mal sonst gar nichts anderes gab.
@Seitansbraten das zieht mich gerade echt runter. Jetzt muss ich auch noch bei Pommes jedes mal schauen und nachfragen 🥺. Ich dachte, wenigstens die sind ein sicherer safe-space, wenn sonst nichts geht. Das ist doch alles nicht mehr normal verdammt.
Die absurden Preise (400g für 1,99€) von #alpro Soja-Joghurts bekommen endlich etwas Feuer unterm Hintern...
Die "My Veggie"-Joghurts von #EDEKA sind bei vergleichbarem Geschmack, aber weniger als der Hälfte des Preises (500g für 0,99€) endlich eine ernsthafte Konkurrenz, nur an der Sortenauswahl (Pfirsich und Natur) hapert es noch ein wenig.
