I cheated on this one, and am thinking of 1k as 1block in a quilt. I simplified the colors and reduced the output size, but this is based on my Anni Albers project (day 11).
I'm calling back to an existing project: Smash-A-Rona.
I made this game with a physics engine, early in the Covid years. The goal is to smash as many covid particles as possible before they duplicate and spread beyond control.
Instead of an animation of 'birds' flying in flocking patterns, I'm going for another use of the word "flocking". I'm starting with the process of producing fake textile with 'flocking', which involves adding small particles to a surface to mimic velvet or other fine textiles.
For this challenge, I'm going to figure out how to use an SVG font as the base for drawing particles onto. From a creative point, I'm not super interested in this one. But I do like the idea of figuring out how to use any SVG element as data to play with.
There sure are a lot of Bauhaus connections in this year's prompts...including "Bauhaus". Reminding me how relevant the events around the closing of the Bauhaus with today's events.
I'm taking inspiration from Kandinsky for this one. And I'm drawing it by hand.
Genuary 2024 Day 27: "Code for one hour. At the one hour mark, you’re done"
For this one, I started where I left off with the "grow a seed prompt". In this hour of coding time, I worked on drawing a leaf-shape at each leaf-point.
