The gist: people are worse off than they were 3 years ago because #government is doing less under #Democrats than it did under #Republicans , and voters expected more than they got from #Trump , more than the shoulder shrugs they ended up getting from #Biden and his groupies. #politics

Don’t know what rock you’ve been under, but the #USA has been under various states of fascism forever. It goes back to Reagan, Nixon, and Goldwater. It goes back to Jim Crow, slavery, and Indigene removal (Hitler said his inspiration was 19th century US removal policies west of the Mississippi). In so far as Dems (including Obama and Biden) moved to the right to attract money and votes, they’re complicit too. Trump is the logical extension, not an anomaly or aberration, of US #history
@micchiato well you know, being form the other side of the pond gave me 4000+ years of history to study at school, so you'll excuse me if I didn't go so much in depth on the USA's 246 years 😅
That said I wrote dictatorship not fascism.
Imho conservatism and nationalism breed fascism, and that's been all over the places in human history even before Mussolini labelled it.

My definition of fascism is hand-in-glove with dictatorship:
a right-wing movement that 1) tends to be hostile toward subaltern ethnic or cultural groups while advocating homogeneous ethnic or cultural rehabilitation (frequently cast as utopian, generally supremacist) and 2) tends to oppose Marxism, anarchism, and democracy in favor of centralized dictatorship that appeals to strong state security
