It was never about drag. They use drag as an excuse to hurt trans folks. A drag performer might not get to do their art, but these laws that prevent trans folks from getting the help they need are likely to push some to suicide.

Been doing the skirt/dress thing more and more as I get older and less and less “plausibly deniably”. 😂
@Wraithe@catvalente That is part of my problem, too. Makes eye make-up a real challenge. The only thing I can kind of do is smeared soft eye pencil or shadow applyied with a brush along the outside of the lashes. Lower mostly. In other news... Dangly earrings!!!! That is the universal indication of "female".
@catvalente Men have worn eyeliner (“kājal”/ “surma”) forever in South Asia and Middle East. Many swear on the apparent medical benefits for this. I’ve worn it myself for the Indian edition of my wedding.
For various reasons (ahem movies like 300), folks in the west somehow consider it intimidating. 🙂🤷🏻♂️
@catvalente The problem is that most straight men can't pick the right color or answer the "does this shirt go with these pants" question. That's why a local department store put islands of clothing in the men's department. If you bought a pair of pants on that island, the shirts and ties (when they still wore them) all went together. It was a genius marketing technique.
How can CVS or Walgreens be expected to create a similar concept for CIS straight men in the makeup department?
Also, there should be business cards for LASIK clinics nearby because wearing such with glasses is ridiculous. Mom proved that to me the she put on mascara and donned her Dragon Lady glasses to go to a party back in the 60s.
