President Biden is gonna be the Dem nominee and he will absolutely demolish Trump. Period.

stargazersmith,

@dworkin
Biden will get my vote for sure. Like him or not, the alternative is far too dangerous to entertain.

I kind of like him, but much more importantly, I trust him.

    @Hey_Beth @stargazersmith @dworkin I've described that election repeatedly as a choice between eating a serving of unseasoned boiled chicken vs a serving of dogshit. I didn't love the chicken but at least it was actually food.

    Biden is boring as hell and not strong on the policies I'd really prefer but he's not actively trying to destroy the USA so he wins pretty much by default.

    My prediction: Biden would destroy Trump. But Trump won't be running. MAGA doesn't care about anyone else to that extent, and many Republicans are going to drop out of voting, maybe for a long time.

    As a result, the Nazi leaders are going to pull out all the Hail Mary plays and try to stop this next election.

    @dworkin @RiaResists Beat, yes. Demolish, probably not. MAGA are all rabid fans and Biden has few.

    @dworkin My brother canvassed in Florida in 2016. Time and again he heard "I won't vote for Hillary. She'll win anyway."

    I think people are more wary now with the polls showing it tight

    Yesterday's results were good, but not THAT good. I think the 2024 election is still a coin toss, and we will have to make maximum effort to save democracy.

    The 2020 election was much closer than the national vote count would suggest.

    Only if Biden has our help.

    Vote! Get others to vote. In droves.

    No sitting this one out over pettiness or pique.

    in popular vote, yes. But our archaic electoral college and default to a gerrymandered House remains a real threat. They already know the popular vote is a lost cause.
    SCOTUS put bush in the Presidency over Gore based on politics. O'Connor admitted that. This SCOTUS is far worse and will happily support a coup - any contrived manipulation of the obsolete processes in the Constitution the bastards manage to pull off. Leonard Leo has assured that. They all hate democracy.
