@IndyRichard@fkamiah17 Just remember to have a giant open chamber thermonuclear reactor hidden just out of sight so that they have something to reflect.
@fkamiah17 whereas our guy did a reasonable job explaining quantum computing to a journalist.
meanwhile, a steaming wet sack of shit is giving him a run for his money because people do stupid things in voting booths and others hold their noses and stay home on election day because “sure, that one is literally evil, but the other one’s not perfect in every conceivable way, so they’re the same”. https://time.com/4296327/justin-trudeau-quantum-computing-answer/
@hannu_ikonen@tantramar Mate, I know. They're not going to though. I'll be voting for my national independence party, Plaid Cymru. I live in a super-safe Labour seat, so it won't make any difference anyway. There are a lot of us hoping that Labour will get only a small majority so it's forced to work cross-party.
It's fucking grim out there.
@tantramar
Woah, there. I don't give much credence to them either, I was just trying to illustrate a point. Plus the balance in the US has been close to 50:50 for decades.
@tantramar That's a moot point when it comes to vote counting.
I'm not sure how valuable historical competence in minority governments is as a comparator in our current circumstances. There are too many existential threats all happening at once and the polarisation is more pronounced than it has been for decades, globally as well as within individual nations.
@fkamiah17
🤣 Not too bad, although I can't find one of my favourite knitting needles, which is a touch annoying. Just about to get off to the gym and looking forward to the cuppa afterwards, but will try to refuse a piece of cake to go with it. Or not, maybe!
