Adding a shroud around the blade of the box fan on a Corsi-Rosenthal filter box increases it's effectiveness and also reduces the noise level.

@TerpEE93 @briankrebs nice work — tape the corners of the fan to decrease back flow! lay down a piece of paper on the corners to see how far you need to tape

@burritojustice @TerpEE93 My last comment was about the noise produced. I'm curious if it is noticeably louder than the fan itself for any reason? B/c our old box fan is pretty loud already. Haven't built one myself yet but considering it since I already have most of the parts.

@briankrebs @burritojustice It’s no louder than the box fan by itself, at least as far as I can tell. It’s a 3-speed fan and I’ve got it running on “2” right now.
