They’re losing, that’s why they’re wrecking everything. That’s why they wrecked Twitter, CNN, and they’re wrecking MSNBC, and the press… they own it all and they are losing so they are wrecking it all in a last ditch sweep to brainwash us into thinking there is nothing else… that only fascism will work. They’re losing. They don’t want us to realize it, but that’s why they’re wrecking everything. To distress us, confuse us, distract us. We’re winning, we just don’t know it yet.
@Catawu Those that own the media control the propaganda. This is why grass roots media via the Internet is so threatening to totalitarian governments and they impose Internet blocks.
@Catawu as someone who's been very active on social media and comment sections, we (the public) are not winning and not ever realizing that is alarming. Put aside the obvious culprits, FOX, musk with twitter, etc. Now it's the CNN's, MSNBC's and such that have quietly shut comments and responses from their audience. No input wanted from us. Just absolute proof they want to manipulate and steer their audiences, not serve them. We lost too much with twitters acquisition and not bouncing back new

Doomerism is one of the ills of social media. It's kind of a reflexive negativity. When you read a post, do you parse it for what you can object to? Do you latch onto a few points and mischaracterize the poster's main theme in order to inject your nay-saying? If so, you might be a doomer.
Don't be a doomer. Knee jerk disagreement isn't engagement. Complaining isn't conversation.
@mastodonmigration@Catawu it would be punching down to engage with people slapping labels on others with very little insight, "doomers" really. Worrying about people "feels", what? I guess it makes some feel important to engage in "fights" even if they don't know what their swinging at. Carry on with you alls moment of courage.
