Adopting BDS is criminalized
Criticizing Israel is antisemitic
Appealing to ICJ is unwarranted
Funding UNRWA is banned
Appealing to ICC Is banned
Ending the occupation is off the table
Ending the settlements is off the table
The peaceful Great March of Return is banned
Protesting peacefully on college campuses is antisemitic
Demanding return of Palestinian children held in indefinite detention in Israeli prisons is not even an option
@QasimRashid I agree that most of these are wrong. But is it expected that if Israel starts to improve the quality of life of the Palestinians and give them independence, that they will suddenly want peace instead of the total destruction of Israel? This is something that I have struggled to understand.
The Palestinians have certainly been wronged, and Israel has done many horrible things. But given that so many Palestinians support Oct 7th, what can Israel do now?
@QasimRashid At least most people now know where they would have stood when the Native Americans were being decimated. There’s a reason so many posters go back to 1947, or 1948 but not, say, to 1937 or 1938. The White solution to collective guilt after the Nazis was to steal somebody else’s land. Talk about that. Hamas is a consequence of that, like the IRA, a response to colonialism in their land.
@QasimRashid : I am sure many people may not agree with me but i would say Palestinians need to learn how India got it's independence through non-violence from British Empire.
Thing to remember Gandhi cancelled many protest which turned violent. Because as u turn to violence the other side gets the change to crush the revolution.
@FrankFrank@QasimRashid Hamas murdered, say, 1200 Israelis. Likud has murdered, say, 30,000 Palestinians so far. By the numbers, Likud is 25 times more evil than Hamas, and is only getting worse.

And let it be known that it is you, yourself, who is trying to equate Netanyahu with Hitler. I don't see anyone arguing on the genocide-is-bad side of the debate trying to make that equation.

@FrankFrank@QasimRashid I mean, Hamas is literally the only means they have to organize their defense against a war of extermination, so I think there's a legitimate 'lesser evil' defense here isn't there
@mousey@FrankFrank@QasimRashid There may be some baiting going on, but I have been wondering what Israel is supposed to do. A lot of people call for them to give the Palestinians more freedom, but many Palestinians do support Hamas and Oct 7th attacks.
I do think that Israel needs to stop West Bank settlements and allow all Palestinians to have a better quality of life. But most Palestinians don't recognize Israel's right to exist either, right? So how can Israel improve relations with them?
I dunno? Stop building settlements on occupied land and using the force of the state to exercise power over people without their consent? Does that seem like a start?
