@simonbs I use a fork of https://github.com/hodgesmr/mastodon_digest running on a RasPi for the times when I want of algorithmic discovery— the nice thing about it is that it surfaces the most interacted-with posts of people you follow.

@matt @eay @fahrni @simonbs There’s a ‘Trending’ feed on each Mastodon server, curated by the moderators from high volume posts - I think @MonaApp just gives you access to it. I imagine @ivory will, in time.

@simonbs one of the things I like with Bluesky is you can create custome feeds. I’d love to see that here. I sont know if that’d work with the whole fediverse though.

And you can use eg https://news.feedseer.com/ to get some algorithmical goodness

@simonbs you’re not following enough people. The Twitter habit of following reluctantly persists and doesn’t work here. Be promiscuous and trim out annoying ones rather than carefully curating.
