Initial impression, this is meant for people who don't have 16 virtual desktops 😀
I have 16 virtual desktops and the features Arc provides are not useful for me. Sidebar for tabs, ability to make split views (I can already snap windows side by side), archiving tabs.
Seems like it is not only me. Trying to ditch #ArcBrowser hard. Besides the things Arc doe better but I can get around (better "workspace" handling, better pinned tabs handling, better command bar), the broken tab navigation kills me. It feels more like a random tab picker than a tab navigation.
I'm happy to assist with whatever might be needed to get that sorted.
I tried out Arc Browser for Windows the past day or so and tbh after my experience with Firefox, I much prefer Firefox. The other problem is it's just another browser using Chromium.
Do you like the look of Arc browser, but would rather have a super private, powerful and personal alternative that runs on all platforms?

Existing #Arc for Windows beta Members can now import their bookmarks from another browser. To do this go to the Arc menu > Import from Another Browser and follow the prompts. Arc for Windows beta supports importing from the following browsers:
I've been pondering on a good solution to keep links for "Reading Later" that blends in well with the browser; I don't want a separate solution that pulls me out of the browser or another Docker container to maintain for such a simple task.
I've turned off the tab cleaning/archiving feature of Arc and created a folder called "Read Later" in my Media space. With this, I can move or share links to this folder for later!
Ah crap. #arcbrowser picture in picture feature goes outside of the browser, which turns out to be a small hassle. I kinda wish you could limit it, confine it within the browser window itself.
Do I have 4 different browser running at the same time? Why yes I do. Firefox as a personal main, Safari for work, Edge for study (Azure certs), and I'm testing out Arc. I also bring up Vivaldi from time to time.
You can setup "Spaces" in #arcbrowser and then share them with people who don't even have Arc. Grab a group of URLs together and share them with other people. That's actually a cool feature.
Ok, first hurdle with #arcbrowser . If you have tabs open and you leave them there, they get "archived", aka closed automatically, after so many hours of your choosing (default is 6 hours). I understand why they do this (to keep things clean) but it gave me a little bit of a shock this morning lol.
Thinking about it, I think this is a me problem. I'm terrible about opening tabs and leaving them up.
