8 years after his predecessor vetoed a bill enshrining the #Bible as the official state book, Gov. #BillLee signed into law a measure making a version of the Holy Book one of #Tennessee's 10 official tomes.
The purpose was clear: to send a message that Tennessee favors #Christianity over other forms of worship, or lack thereof.
“A #Tennessee militia member who told an undercover federal agent that the U.S. is ‘being invaded’ by migrants was planning to travel to the southern border with a stockpile of weapons and commit acts of violence against federal border agents, according to a criminal complaint.”
I wonder where some random #Tennessee cousin-fucking mouthbreather would get the idea that the southern border is “being invaded” and that border patrol agents are his enemy, anyway?
Oh, yeah. From our cousin-fucking mouthbreather of a governor, #BillLee, who’s sending our National Guard to Texas to engage in Greg Abbott’s terrorist standoff with border agents.

A Republican governor in the South is peeling back diversity programs in public schools and limiting how gender and race can be discussed in classrooms — and he’s not from Florida.
While Florida governor Ron DeSantis made headlines on Monday for signing a law that bars colleges from using state or federal funding on most diversity, equity and inclusion programs, conservatives are pursuing similar tactics in other GOP-led states.

After the Covenant School shooting, Gov. Bill Lee went beyond state Republicans in calling for reform. But the system he is embracing already allows violent people to hold on to their weapons.
