Who the hell came up with the idea that the mouse cursor is drawn by the clients in Wayland? The cursor is so important, it should always be drawn by the compositor, always perfectly, and as close to vblank as physically possible.

I'm unable to measure this, but I could swear that under Wayland (Weston, KWin) my touchpad mouse cursor movement is delayed by about 1 frame compared to X11 (KWin). It feels like when you enable the software cursor in a game. Does anyone feel the same? 🖱️
Has anyone else the problem of the mouse #cursor in #macOS sometimes not switching to its appropriate icon (like pointer/text/etc.)? It affects all browsers. I also noticed it in VS Code. Sometimes the correct cursor appears for a millisecond before it switches back to the default. Only fix seems to log out/reboot, or sometimes it also just stops after a while.
