Those people who thought Labour would heed warnings they are verging too far right need to get a look at Natalie "Stop The Boats" Elphicke and David Lammy courting the Republicans today.
David Lammy. Lawyer, Labour* politician, Shadow Foreign Secretary, and Black*—after cowardly ducking and running from the rostrum when pro-Palestinian protests arose:
"Change through power, not protest."
(* Yes, both being Labour and being Black are important here, given the history of Labour—birthed through protest—and the mere fact of what simply existing as a Black person throughout history entails, especially where England and/or the UK have been involved.)
Does #DavidLammy and the rest of the #Labour leadership think this belated shouting about #Israel atrocity mean we have forgotten their recent enthusiasm for #genocide and policy-driven, racist abandonment of solidarity with #Palestine?
"Illegal settlers do not just steal land & possessions. They snatch the hope of a two-state solution, the only prospect for a lasting peace across Israel and Palestine"
