Q: 1) I use to NeoFinder to catalog a petabyte of video storage that lives on 3 servers.
2) Using NeoFinder I can search for files with similar names. For Example “TARDIS”. Those files are on various mounts.
3) Can I use NeoFinder to copy all those files to a new location. (An external drive.)

A: Actually, yes, you can, either drag the files from NeoFinder to the desired destination folder, or use the "Save Copy as..." command in the Item menu.

Then sit back and relax. ;-)

Q: Is there a way to find files by extension with ?

A: Yes, the powerful Find Editor can do that and a lot more.

Use the "Name ... ends with" parameter, and add the period to the suffix to search for, w.g. ".mp4".

"I have used various DAM software in the past and having used the trial version of together with the iOS companion app (thanks for your earlier advice on that one). I must say that it is the best solution by far and your customer support is excellent. Keep up the great work."

Did you know that you can select LIBRARY in NeoFinder, and the Inspector will show you a lot of important statistics of your NeoFinder database?

There, you can also find the option to show or hide the folders in Catalogs, or have NeoFinder to keep looking for changes in the database made by other instances in the network.

NeoFinder 8.5 can read special and metadata out of your video files.

In particular, this includes details about the camera and lens used, the capture FPS (for slo-mo and time lapse), and textual data, such as production details.
