In 2019, ~1/2 of Tennesseans lived in an area that has 3Xs as many children as licensed child care slots. In Mayron’s city, >3K children in 2023 qualified for govt assist. for child care, but 941 were unable to access it *b/w 2011-20 -bills for childcare assist. failed in the TN leg.
