It is an #OpenStreetMap based service to find #vegan (and #vegetarian) restaurants, in other words an open alternative to #HappyCow (except for the review functionality).
Went to two cafes at lunchtime. One had no vegan food options in the fridge, the other cafe had three items.
No... not three different types of item... just three items. Two Bosh Fajita and a Bosh hm and chese toasted sandwich. The rest of the fridge was fully stocked with meat and dairy filled items.
Cafes need to do better to cater for a variety of diets. Just going for the default meat and dairy isn't enough.
#CuisineVegan
Just in case someone tells you "we know what our users want": When visiting new cities, I'm regularly using #HappyCow to find the most hip neighborhood. As clustering of good #vegan offers is often times a perfect indicator of like-minded people, culture and atmosphere around. This is for me a way better guide than anything #GoogleMaps, #LonelyPlanet or #Booking can offer.
No, you don't know your customers.
Dear #OpenStreetMap, #android, and #vegetarian folks, do you have an app to find vegetarian and #vegan#restaurants?
I used to have OpenMultiMaps that gave me access to OpenVegeMap but the project was discontinued and now I have to use #HappyCow and #VegoResto and I really don't like them...
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: ideally I'd like to discriminate vegan-only/vegan-friendly tags
