There's a new ride hailing app in the PH called Peek Up. I hope it, together with InDrive, Maxim and Owto, can compete with monopolistic Grab in the 4-wheeled vehicle category. Initially, "the service is available in Metro Manila, Laguna, Cavite, Rizal, and Bulacan."
PH E-wallet Maya to start charging P5 for cash-ins of linked bank accounts on Feb. 26.
"Meanwhile, BPI recently announced that they will charge a Php10 fee for e-wallet reloading to GCash starting March 1, 2024. This rule will only apply to GCash, which means that this method can be an alternative to Maya users who want to transfer funds from their BPI for free."
In the PH, Globe Telecom has always had the most subscribers since 2016 up until recently. Smart Communications reported that it now has 55.2 million subscribers after the implementation of the SIM card registration. Globe was left with 54.7 million.
